Yea that is my guess as well but what is really puzzling is that I check constantly and my status never changed to interview scheduled...so how did it just changed to interview cancelled without being scheduled?

Yes, see my and @Renegade's postings in the "Processing Times (I-751) for MSC (National Benefits Center)" thread. We both received the same update.

Have you gotten any notice in the mail from USCIS about it yet?

If I were you I would still show up at the interview, read this post to the end .

I think we got lucky. USCIS just announced they're ceasing all in-person services until at least April 1st (not a joke)

i think you are lucky if it is not system glitch. Same thing happened to my wife' s case on AOS process. No update, no notice arrived and they denied our case based on '' no show up to interview'' took us good month to clear everything and reopen the case. Make sure to call them ask if they can provide any info or copy of original interview notice.
