Nice, should I do the same for my embassy? (pakistan)

It's your call. I had a valid reason to write to my embassy because of financial loss / job offer with relocation benefit that expires soon.

Did they expedite your case?

I sent an email 2 weeks ago and they said they were unable to forward it on the to the embassy. They asked me to try again in after a few weeks so I just sent it today. It usually takes 2-3 days for a reply.

I wrote to them about my relocation benefits and had the relo company issue me a letter of the benefits expiration date that I attached in the email.

If you have a valid reason, you can always send them an email to try to get it expedited. But right now, there are many emails being sent for that request, some valid some not. That ultimately is up to NVC / Embassy to decide.

Good luck!

My husband is 60+ and belongs to a risk group for Covid19 due to high blood pressure. He's living alone and we stated he needed the support of me in case he becomes ill with Covid19. Also, I live in a multigenerational family so it would be safer for me as well to join my husband in the US.

Yes, the visa we applied for is an IR1. We've been married 2 years.

Thanks for getting back to me! Best of luck to you and your family during these crazy times!!

Hi, All.

Am here to update my immigration case.

I had my interview on June 25th, which was scheduled by US embassy in South Korea.

(My original interview was scheduled on April, however got cancelled due to the Covid 19.)

This is conclusion ;

Even though there was no any document issue, I got BLUE LETTER.

The interviewer saying , currently my visa application is refused.

He mentioned there's no problem with my interview but they're giving me the blue letter as a part of administration process.

Many people who had the interview around June (CR1 / IR1) are in the same situation currently.

The embassy responded they don''t know when they could issue the visa.

If the time comes, dispatch the passport along with blue letter to the embassy for the visa issuance.

Many people, including me and my husband, are very disappointed and furious at this point.

What was the point of having interview if the embassy wouldn't give visa without specific reason?

Our case is not even under restricted by Trump administration's EO..?

My husband raised the complaint to the congressman and we expect hearing from him hopefully.

Very sorry to share this sad news to ya all & will update again if there's any.

The embassy didn’t give us specific reason for the blue letter. Even though cr1/ir1 isn’t under EO, seems like all visa issuance is pending right now. That’s why we are so upset with the embassy and wrote letter to the congressman.

Hello, I'm a US citizen waiting for the NVC to finish reviewing my documents to schedule an interview for my Korean wife at the Seoul embassy.

We should stay in touch and share info.

Are you married for over 2 years? Do you know anyone else with this problem? My wife said she's seen many Korean spouses of US citizens online complain about blue letters this summer.

Yes, we initially filed the case with CR1, but we’ve been married for over 2 years at the time of interview. There’s no any update so far and many other spouses of USC are in the same boat right now (Interview was OK, but no VISA). I don’t understand why the embassy schedules the interview but not issuing VISA.
