Would extra $600 count towards maximum unemployment benefits allowed for individuals? For example mine is 350 a month for 26 months it is around 9100 maximum in old scenario,  but now with extra $600 i will reach there quick maybe in 2 months, so would $600 count towards maximum for person?

No

YMMV

Have question, I came to US in January 2020 as LPR, so I do not qualify for stimulus check? Am I right?

You don't qualify for advance payment.

I worked only one month and it was closed due to Covid-19, so nothing to do right?

And I do not want to use any public assistance.

Also I do not qualify for unemployment cuz of short period of working in US?

Are there any other options to get through this hard times?

Thank you for your reply.

You can apply for unemployment and let the state determine your eligibility rather than assume you are automatically ineligible

They stated that those who were newly employed and their employer had not paid into unemployment system for that employee were not eligible for stimulus 600.00 payment.  However, I agree to still apply. It varies state by state.

Not sure it changes anything but payments for Q1 wages are due by the end of April for most state unemployment funds.

Not right now but you'll receive a credit when you file 2020 taxes in 2021.

In 2017, A decided to go to graduate school full-time. A goes to school in 2018 and 2019, earns no income, and files no tax return. As a result, A does not receive a check for $1,200 as part of the stimulus package in 2020. If A files a 2020 tax return, however, A will receive a credit against her tax liability in 2020, effectively putting an extra $1,200 into A’s pocket.

So I do not need to do anything now ?Also not to fill the above mentioned non-filers form? right?

You need to look at that form describing who is eligible to use it.   You will discover you are not eligible to use it.

  • 2 weeks later...

Here is the definition on USCIS website for Public Benefit:  https://www.uscis.gov/policy-manual/volume-8-part-g-chapter-10

UI is not listed as public benefit.

We are in California, our UI came as our approved weekly amount PLUS $600 per week. For example my partner got $450 per week from UI plus the $600, a total of $1050 per week.
