It's only a gotcha if he did say that in that context. If there's audio that shows that that didn't happen, he could just rerelease or point to that audio.

The report was published on Monday and reported on the period between March 23rd and 27th. It was released to the public on Monday, government officials had access to it before it was made public but it's kind of hard to publish a report ahead of the actual date of if happening.

That's not what I heard.  One of the briefers today (the clip may have been from yesterday) said they just saw the report at 0800 when it was released.  

So which IG was it?

I should've just waited to reply to this.

 

Now Trump is defending his claim that he said it was going away on its own. 

 

“When Peter Navarro did circulate those memos, you were still downplaying the threat of coronavirus in the US,” the reporter said. “You were saying things like, ‘I think it’s a problem that is going to go away within a couple of days —’”

“Which I’m right about,” Trump interjected.

The reporter continued: “You said ‘within a couple of days the cases will be down to zero.’”

“Well, the cases really didn’t build up for a while,” Trump replied.

One of the arguments he got into with Jim A was becuase Trump blamed some of the shortages on the previous admin. Acosta took him to task and pointed out he had been President over 3 years and took him to task for that.

Now this is the same network that blamed Obama's mediocre econmy on Bush for 8 years and then gave Obama credit for Trumps economy.

Trump has admitted that he actually said that. You could just admit you were wrong here, instead of trying to be sarcastic about it.

 

Besides, your media isn't even left-wing compared to the rest of the world. Even Democrats would be at least center-right in most other countries. The idea that they're in on some leftist conspiracy is ridiculous.
