2020/ 21- US Passport & Card Application-Tracker

Can anyone help me understand timeline an procedure to schedule a passport appointment at a US passport office (e.g. Chicago)? I called the line and they told me that they only scheduled out 4 weeks of actual travel date. However, they also told me processing time is at least 6-8 weeks...

So, when I told them about a Oct 13th travel they told me to call back later. How can I schedule earlier? Preferably same time as my oath ceremony?

Almost exactly 4 weeks from filing at the post office to passport being approved and shipped. 🥳

Passport finally received today 9/07/2023. Took a total of exactly 10 weeks standard processing.

Passport application submitted at local City Hall: 8/28

Passport status changed to "In Process" and payment cashed: 9/5

Record locator starts with 18

I paid for expediate and 2 day shipping. Finger crossing as we are traveling on 11/5!!!

Does anyone know how long it takes to get your Passport Card after receiving the Passport Book?

My status changed to " Supporting Documents mailed 9/07/2023" but no mention about the passport card.

Nevermind I received the Passport Card on 9/09/2023.

 

Passport Timeline:

6/24/2023 - Application submitted at USPS for US Passport Book and Passport Card (Standard Processing)
6/29/2023 - Application shows In Process. Record locator starts with 62. (Check was cashed on 6/30/2023)

9/07/2023 - Passport Book received.

9/09/2023 - Passport Card received.

Yes I paid for expedited shipping etc. My naturalization certificate also arrived today, 1 week after the passport.

Update just received the passport today

9/28!! Yeah!

9/23 Passport application submitted at local USPS

9/28 status changed to in process 

 

I requested expedite but they processed my application as routine service so had to call them to correct it.

Received my passport today, didn’t  expect it o be that fast

Sent in passport application expidited 10/10. Passport received 10/30. Locator 42. Will now be waiting for supporting documents. Anyone here know how soon after the passport do they come? Thanks!

Wife's took 7 weeks after passport arrived...but I have heard of some returning within a couple weeks.

Mine arrived about a week after I received my passport, same locator 42
