Awesome! I sent mine Sept 3rd, got the response also on Oct 21st. Hopefully we hear good news. It’s been 1yr and 10mos now since I filed. I am praying to spend the Holidays with my parents here.

Could you explain what is expedite request? Can I do expedite request for my patents? They are DQed in 8/2021 just waiting for interview.

Yes you can. It’s a request to expedite with reasons provided. You just need to send email for request and attach all evidence with email.please use link attached for more info. Hope this helps. If approved, you get in line for interview ahead of denied you stay where you are. My parents are DQ since Jan 2021

Thank you for explanation. My wife is pregnant and I would like to expedite my parent’s IR5 petition so they can come to take care of my wife and take care of our child. Anyone have any idea if this would be a valid reason to expedite?

You can always try. There is no list of reasons to follow in this, important is how you can convince with your verbiage and evidence. Good luck.

I just said that my kids started to school and it’s hard for me to work when they’re in school. It will be easier if I have my parents here also to spend the times with them while they are able to.

That’s amazing, I guarantee every VJer would have told you that would never be accepted as a reason! Just goes to show there’s never any harm in trying for an expedite. Congrats

Oh absolutely. Even the NVC website if I remember says only if there’s a life threatening reason or some sort of. But yes, no harm in trying.
