You can always download and print. The printed one is as legit as the one you receive in mail.

Yes - go ahead and print and submit. They obviously will have some back end way to verify authenticity of anything we submit.

A real quick question. Or maybe not. It is obvious that maybe 90% of filers in this thread are planning to apply for N-400 sometime during waiting for ROC. How are you planning to do that? I have been reading lots of information about the process and find it pretty confusing. First of all, when would it be better to do that: 90 days before 3 year residence anniversary or better wait a bit and apply exactly after anniversary date? The other thing that confuses me is USCIS cannot start taking any action on your N-400 if you still have ROC pending. That being said, that they will have application for naturalization on hand, but since you do not meet requirements for it just yet, they will not consider it. Although, they will keep the application until ROC is processed. But it doesn’t mean that ROC will be expedited... does it even worth a hassle? Why not wait until ROC approval and then apply for N-400. How are y’all going to do it?

90 days before 3 year residence anniversary is the correct time to apply (assuming marriage to a US Citizen spouse) in my opinion from what I've read. I'm not sure how you indicate in the N-400 application that you have another application pending but my understanding is the interview is then combined (I-751 and N-400) and both cases adjudicated together. I have also heard that some N-400 officers when they get such a combined case are not trained on how to deal with the I-751 case but I don't know if that's the norm or the exception.

2. Spouses with Pending Petitions and Naturalization Applications

An application for naturalization may not be approved if there is a pending petition for removal of conditions. If an applicant’s petition to remove conditions is pending at the time of filing or is filed prior to the interview, USCIS will adjudicate the petition to remove conditions prior to or concurrently with the adjudication of the naturalization application. [6]

ROC Timeline

3/30/2020: Package sent to Dallas, TX by USPS.

4/2/2020: Package delivered to Dallas, TX by USPS.

4/8/2020: Text message received from USCIS stating official receipt notice to follow in mail and providing a receipt number starting with YSC.

4/9/2020: Check for $680 cashed by USCIS.

4/13/2020: NOA I-797 received providing an 18-month extension.

We submitted with a printout of the USCIS page showing the form is expired and mentioned in the cover page that the form available on their website had expired but was the only one available. I am sorry to read some people are experiencing rejections because of the form being expired.

Is the 18-month extension typical or is it longer now because of the COVID19 situation?
