There is an A number on the NOA-2 above his name with 9 digits behind it. Is this the number?

• Hello, I'm new to this forums. Came looking for information about this Case Complete notification. I'm from mexico and my citizen spouse applied for my adjustment of status. As part of the process we had to submit an I601a waiver. The waiver was approved on May 8 2018, however, I have not received a Case Complete notification. Is that mailed to my address? I did submit an Inquiry to NVC and they said I was in the queue for an appointment. Some people from Mexico have reported here that the wait is up to 12 months. Can someone help me understand what that means for me? Do I need the Case Complete notice first and then there is a 12 month wait? I'm so desperate! Thank  you.

So we are DQ as of Dec 17th, IL was received on Jan 13 for a Feb 12 ID...

 

But the embassy granted us a Jan 29 interview instead!!

 

That shaved 2 weeks off the timeline! 

 

We requested the earlier interview date as soon as we had the sealed medical envelope in our hands. 

 

I can't say that this would work for everyone, but it worked in our case (IR-1)

All u need is SS# and that stamp in passport (Your 551 is the temp green card good for a year). Good to get drivers license, open bank accounts get jobs.

Same documents the petitioner submitted to NVC plus their proof of US Citizenship, Naturalization or LPR status.

No. The SS# normally arrive 10 to 14 days after arrival. But sometime you have to go to SS office because they didn't send or there was an issue.
If card doesn't come after 2 weeks then go to SS office.

 

The green card whether you pay before you arrive or after  really doesn't matter. If you paid before your arrival at POE activates it's production. Now that can take from 3 weeks to 180 days or longer. I know many waiting that 120 days (That's how long you have to wait to start disturbing USCIS).

Most cards come in that 30 to 45 day range.

He didn't file adjustment of status for a consulate interview. No Case Complete is not mailed to you. You cab tell by logging into your account on CEAC.stat.com and seeing the words Documentarily Qualified.
Yes Mexico is quite a wait. I believe they are in June DQ's.

 

Yes you must first have Case Complete (DQ-Documnetarily Qualified) then you are moved into the interview queue

The email Interview letter is your official Interview letter. I believe it has an attachment you open up has you bar code on it very official.
