Please hire a lawyer if you are struggling

why do you need Affidavits for?

I did the entire I-130 process on my own and there wasn't a single error. I should be fine.

There was no other person preparing the form for me so I put N/A and sent it back. Should arrive tomorrow. Let's see what happens.

I got my first text notification on Dec 8. I didn’t put N/A and left those sections blank which were not applicable. I hope it helps. I would suggest to call them and ask if you have doubts.

Who said I am struggling LOL? I filed my own AOS and now filing ROC. there are tons of resources out there, no one needs a lawyer in simple cases with real marriage.

I was just sharing my current standing as i am excited and getting ready to file.

Affidavits are not required, but the only thing i am missing. I have a very thick stack of evidence so should be ok without them.

Today  I am November 18 filer and I got ROC got approved today.

Lesson:

1. This is a painful journey. have patience! it might take 13 months to 19 months.

2. This is what I learned, sending 500 pages of evidences dont work in ROC. send minimal but make sure you are sending solid evidences. like bank statement, tax file, State ID with same address for both. insurance and having baby is big advantage. I sent only 40 pages. if you send them 500 page, they may or may  not review all the pages that you are sending. if  they review all the pages then it will take long time and it will create doubt when officer will review. Officer might ask for face to face interview.

3. Review  your  application couple of times before you send it. make sure you are sending the right amount.

4. send pictures like 15 to 20 with description. dont send them albums. They are not interested.

if you are paying tax and did not commit any crime. you will be fine.

Good luck... it's a long journey.

1 ) why was it painful?

2) how did you learn that a lot of evidence doesn't work in ROC? Who told you that?

Hi :) i heard you don't get text notifications when sending ROC packet. Only when sending AOS. Is it not true? Did you use USPS or FedEX, also PO Box or Lockbox?

Hi,

do you have any recommendations or do you know in what order is it better to organize bank statements and other docs that are frequently issued (bills etc)? Newest on top with oldest at the bottom of the stack? Or the oldest at the op with latest at the very bottom of the stack?

I just saw that they charged my debit card. So all that was missing was the "N/A". Crazy!

Did anyone else that submitted a G-1145 get a text notification BEFORE the check is processed? I know for AoS, my check got processed before the notification, but I'm freaking out a little...

My card got charged on Tuesday and I haven't received a text or email yet even though form G-1145 was page 1 of my paper stack. Sometimes I wonder about the people they hire lol.
