It's possible that each case is different too. They may have internal guidelines for longer reviews of certain applicants based on age, gender or other factors.

It's all a guessing game though and all we know is there's probably no pattern so we shouldn't get too down when someone else gets DQ before us.

I'm just hoping it doesn't take too long for them to review our case again. It would suck to have to wait another 5 weeks for a 2 sentence document :(

Our CR1 Journey:

USCIS Stage:

  • Feb 14 2019: NOA1 (NSC)
  • July 31 2019: I129f NOA1
  • Sep 19 2019: I129f NOA2 (Denied - 50 days from NOA1)
  • Sep 19 2019: I130 NOA2 (Approved - 217 days from NOA1)

NVC Stage:

  • Sep 27 2019: Sent to Department of State
  • Oct 31 2019: Case number received (34 days since sent)
  • Nov 1 2019: IV & AOS fees received & paid
  • Nov 14 2019: IV & AOS submitted
  • Dec 18 2019: All docs accepted, but one additional doc requested (5 weeks from submission)
  • Dec 18 2019: Requested doc submitted
  • Feb 19 2020: Documentarily Qualified (9 weeks from 2nd submission, 14 weeks from first submission)

Interview Stage:

  • Mar 11 2020: Interview letter received
  • Apr 1 2020: Interview date
  • Mar 17 2020: Interview cancelled due to COVID-19
  • August 3 2020: Rescheduled letter received, new appointment August 25 2020
  • August 25 2020: Visa approved at interview! (558 days from NOA1)
  • September 10 2020: Embassy received passport in mail
  • September 15 2020: Passport with visa in hand

October 11 2020: Arrived in US!

To ease my mind, I am planning to book a trip to visit my husband in February, so won’t care how long the process is going to take anymore.  I’m so draining right now.

I was DQ and signed and dated in ink.  That is the normal method on any legal document.

I had mine DQ and I scanned the unsigned docs to my financial sponsor, then he signed and scanned back. I then scanned to upload to CEAC, all good

Perhaps they only have one person reviewing them all a few times a week. With that low of a workload it's possible to only have 1-2 employees assigned to those countries. I only guess that because it makes more sense to separate it by country or region since each one differs in what kind of information is needed. If im dealing with the same country over and over I know exactly what to look for and don't have to search the different requirements every time I open a file.

I like this idea and it does make a lot of sense based on the patterns I have seen as well.

That sounds like a wonderful idea and I was thinking the same. If I don't get a DQ in December, I have plans to visit with my husband in January 2020.

So, try to find out more about your own country's timelines to try and set some realistic expectations for when yours might be reviewed. And that's just to maybe get an idea, it's not a guarantee.

Hello Everyone,

I had a close look on the French/US couples. Very few of us to be on the forum and to go through the IR1/CR1 process (less than 10 in fact) so the statistics are of course not relevant.

But for those who would still be interested to see if there is a link between countries and treatment (I, personnally, don't think there is one), here are the average process times for these 8 cases (2019 for the most part):

- Between NOA2 and NVC receiving the cas: 3-4 weeks

- NVC received/DS261/AOS Bill received: 4 weeks

- DS261/AOS Bill received/DQ: 10 days to 2 weeks for 3 cases, 1 month for 1 case, 2months and 10days for 3 cases,  still not DQ for 1 case (which has received the bill on 10/04 - this particular case has been particularly unlucky since the beginning of the whole process in 2018).

Take care and have a good week-end :)

Alix

I just got through yesterday to NVC on the phone, they received my package on Dec 11th from the service center but they stated that they are assigning case numbers that were received

on Nov 15th. So I guess it will be January before I get a case number from NVC.

Good luck to all.

Hey Craig5977,

I am couple of days behind you (Nov25th). So yes, we should expect receiving our case number in January. Good luck to us all :)

Hi Guys quiqly question.     Is possible nvc send DQ and documents missing the same time?image.png.30602671a6526210e6201fcc647672d6.png

You maybe should call them, it's a pain to get through and a long wait once you do but then you can find out what happened
