Hello I have a question , I'm still in the process of my adjustment of status waiting for the interview this year and I'm 1 yr and 6 months here now in USA.  My mother is planning to get visit visa my question are:

1) is that ok for her to visit here even If I don't have green card yet?

2) is visiting her granddaughter a valid reason to say to consult and what is the possibility they will approve that reason?

Hope someone will answer thank you so much

1. Yes

2. Certainly is a valid reason. Not sure why they would dispute visiting a grandchild as a reason.

1) Your immigration status has no impact on her tourist visa application

2) Visiting her granddaughter would be a valid reason. It will not cause a denial or approval automatically though

Because im thinking it might get denied because the consul might gonna think she's going to babysit her granddaughter because she's 7 months old only

That is a concern they may have. But you asked if visiting the granddaughter is a valid reason, and sure it is.

As noted above, they are more concerned with why she needs to leave, not so much why she's coming.

They really care more about why she will be returning home, not so much why she will be visiting.

But, if asked as to the purpose of her trip, she should answer all questions honestly.

Isn't she going to do that?

No she isn't because she's old enough to babysit my daughter, I really want her to meet the family of my husband since she never meet them in person. ☺️

I have a question I'm filling up the ds160 of my mom , what will I put in primary occupation if since she's married she's just a plain housewife?

Thank you a lot for helping me really appreciate it 😊

No need to mention plain.
