Hi there,

We submitted our I-751 to Lewisville, TX via FedEx. We live in NYC.

USCIS received it 9/5.

Do you guys have any idea in terms of a timeline? When can I expect a text or, even better, the receipt with extension?

Thanks - any advice is much appreciated.

Got my NOA in my mailbox today (9/16). Just as a reference in respect to the timeline.

Glad I will at least have my freedom to travel even after the expiration 🙂

And just as a remark...I didn’t receive any text messages nor emails.

I just received my NOA1 today!!! Package mailed out on 9/6/19, received on 9/9/19, text confirming application received on 9/13/19 and NOA1 received on 9/16/19.

One question, I am the USC spouse and my husband is the beneficiary. However, in the NOA my husband is listed as both the Petitioner and Beneficiary. Is this accurate? Or should it list me as the petitioner and he as the beneficiary? I ask because technically, for the i751, my husband is the applicant and Im simply the USC spouse as described in the app. Additionally, for the i751, beneficiaries can also apply by themselves and are thus, considered the applicants.

I hope that wasnt too convoluted. Figured I'd ask before I call USCIS tomorrow.

Thank you!

Ugh, the USC is not the petitioner or beneficiary by any means for the ROC i-751.

The NOA (Notice of Action I-797) is absolutely correct and is not wrong.

If "the window" open let's say tomorrow , can I sent my documents today ? 😉😊

I've heard most folks say to send documents a day or two after the "window" opens, just to avoid the possibility of USCIS rejecting your packet and having to re-file. It couldn't hurt since I assume you have a full 90 days of validity left on your GC at this point.

The package will likely be returned to you because the incorrect filing fee was sent.

Does the I-751 expire soon? If not, then you still have enough time to refile.
