I-130 filed 9-10-2018 told process will be 11-2019!

What is going on, My wife and I have filed our I-130 In Sept 2018, and it is taking a year to simply process the first part!
I am getting very let down.

We are at a lost for this...

She is in the Ukraine and there is no issues in my or her backgrounds for the delay.

 

Any help or advise here?

Patience is a VIRTUE! This process tends to be long and strenuous. What you should do is call USCIS and inquire about your file, but it sounds like you did that already and they told you that it'll be processed in Nov. If that's the case, unfortunately, there is nothing you can do. You'll just have to wait. That said, I would still call every week to check and hopefully you'll hear some good news soon.

Unfortunately, that is the norm at some service centers right now. Nothing to do at this time but wait. If the processing goes outside normal processing timelines, you can submit a case inquiry.

 

It's impossible to know if there are any issues with background checks before they are complete. Just because one has no criminal activity or such doesn't mean it cannot show a hit (sometimes for somebody with the same or similar name, and a manual check needs to be done).

"Processing time" is usually less than an hour per case.  The rest of the time is just waiting for your turn to be "processed".  (Adjudicated)

Ok we have received an update but I am not sure how to log this.

WE have received a 797 stating that the petition has been approved and sent to NVC. 

No other form request.
