How Accurate is the CaseTracker app

The CaseTracker app notified me that my case was approved 3 days ago yet the USCIS website does not reflect that and I have not received an email from them either. Does it take some time for everything to catch up with the app?

You won't get an email but a physical notice via post in about a week

YMMV

It indeed takes time to catch up with case tracker. I was in a similar situation where CaseTracker said that my i-751 was approved about 2 days before it appeared on the USCIS website.

The USCIS website is notoriously slow to update, I would believe the APP.   You I-797 (NOA2) approval notice should arrive in the mail in the near future would be my bet.

From USCIS your case file will head to NVC, this can take a couple weeks.   At NVC they will get the embassy case file number assigned to your file,  it will then be forwarded to Manila < this can take a couple weeks to a month.

Once you have your NOA2, put it somewhere safe as you will need it again a few months from now.

You will also want to email NVC to request your case file number , info for that is here >  https://www.visaconnection-philippines.com/nvc.html    Only email NVC once, they will not reply until your case file has been sent to the embassy.   When you get the email from NVC forward it to your fiancee as she will need that for the medical at SLEC.

For your process in Manila you may want to jump over to the Philippines forum for more accurate answers as the process is different with each embassy.

OP, you are lucky that at least Case Tracker app shows your approval. In my case I only got a letter in the mail. It’s been more than 3 weeks, nothing is updated anywhere.

Even though some people have reported differences between the two, I believe that the case tracker apps (all of which are unofficial) show the same thing as the "old" web site.

USCIS does not have a public API that I know of, and getting through the two-factor authentication of the "new" web site is kind of a pain; I can't imagine how an app could do that smoothly.

Having said that, many cases either only show up on the "old" site, only show up on the "new" site, or don't show up anywhere until you get your approval letter. And even when both sites are eventually updated, they can take days or even weeks to get in sync with each other.

Use the case status on the website (old site) that should show the same update as app.

The new one doesn’t send info to app so that one is usually different.
