Hello guys!

Mailed on Saturday 20th July, was received on Monday 22th July, Phoenix lockbox, signed by T Wright.

Now I am worrying a little bit about the filling date. My GC expires on 10/18/19, the application was signed and mailed on 07/20/19, looks like everything is good or should we do it 1 day later?

Good luck to everyone!

If you file to soon they will defect it - do it during the 90 day window

Also guys, tell me please, is there any statistics about the percentage of people who were called for the second interview ( for 751 form)? During our first interview 2 years ago ( adjustment of status), the officer told “its unlikely that you will have the second one”. But who knows...

Thanks in advance for the answer !

Yes, based on the calculator on the Uscis site, the earliest date for us is 20th July...and we filled on 20th...but still worrying...may be they want a day after 20th..

Hi everyone. Does anyone know the processing time for how long it takes to get confirmation that they have received our application? We sent in our application on July 11th and it arrived on the 17th and have yet to get a text or email to say that they have got it.

I think it varies, looks like most people it takes 1-2 weeks, I wouldn't worry.

I assume you attached the G-1145 form to the front right?

Does anyone know if they would still cash the check if a person filed early? Just wondering...

I have an idea, sorry if it’s not exactly about the topic, but I would be happy If it was an option for the expedited processing for the additional payment, for example instead of $680, I would happy to pay 1000+ or  $1200-$1500, if the timeline in this case would be not 12-18 months)

May be we should write to the USCIS with this proposal? Or is it just me who interested ?:)

Anyone here with waivers?

Nothing updated, no charge, no return, no update on my file, no extension :(

They don't even have my file on record.

On hold again, trying to see if I can get some update but ...wondering if anyone else has filed with divorce or other waivers

Hi I am new to this thread,  have you gotten an answer yet?

I submitted my application to the Texas office as well last Monday and have not received a text message either. I called USCIS  and they told me that there is no information available yet because probably they have not opened my package yet. The lady told me that I would have to wait 30 days from the moment they received my package to hear an answer :(

Based on my receipt number it looks like my case is at Potomac Service Center (YSC). Who else's is at that center and have you heard about Biometrics yet? Do we have a timeline for that center?

My case is also in Potomac YSC. Party time lol (and it's interesting that I live literally just 10min drive from Potomac haha. Potomac is very pretty)

My package was delivered on 7/11, called USCIS and got a receipt number on 7/16, cash checked on 7/17, 18-month extension letter received on 7/19. Haven't heard from USCIS about biometrics appointment or anything else yet. Will keep you guys updated.

Unrelated to this at all, but do you guys carry your green card with you everywhere? I've been told that I have to but now that it's expired, I'm not sure if I want to also carry that extension letter with me everywhere I go cuz I tend to lose things all the time lol

Legally you are required to carry your green card on you and will also be required to carry the extension letter, you should also continue to carry the expired green card because it has your photo on the card and biometrics. Per the USCIS website: " If you are a permanent resident age 18 or older, you are required to have a valid Green Card in your possession at all times." Which extends to any document proving your LPR status.

This is governed by Sections 264(e) of the Immigration and Nationality Act which states: "Every alien, eighteen years of age and over, shall at all times carry with him and have in his personal possession any certificate of alien registration or alien registration receipt card issued to him pursuant to subsection (d). Any alien who fails to comply with the provisions of this subsection shall be guilty of a misdemeanor and shall upon conviction for each offense be fined not to exceed $100 or be imprisoned not more than thirty days, or both."

My case is being processed at the Potomac Service Center. I sent my case June 30th, received by USCIS on July 1, I got my NOA on July 11 which was dated July 5. No word yet on Biometrics or anything else yet. I will certainly keep everyone posted, especially for those being processed through Potomac around the same time as me!!
