Interview today in Boston. No issues at all. Didn't ask for any additional information and didn't even talk to my spouse. Had choice of oath date, either next Wednesday or some time in Jan or Feb. Next Wednesday it is.

Been a long but worthwhile journey. Thanks to everyone on this forum for all the assistance and support. Good luck to all that are still waiting. Hang in there, it won't be long now.

Very time I meet someone going through this process I send them to Visa Journey. Best source of current relevant information out there.

Best of luck in your like in the USA.

I'm new to this forum. Hello everyone!

I am a June 2019 N400 filer (June 19 2019 receipt date). I am filing based on marriage, my timeline is below.

I'm waiting for both my N400 and I-751 and my status currently states that my case is under review. However, today I received an email from the US consulate in Australia (where I got my original E3 visa) asking me why I changed status. I rang the consulate in case this was spam and was told that I should email back asking more information (the person on the switchboard said the email address was genuine but that I should ask for further information). I received a reply from a consulate official saying that:

"the reason for the request is based off notification from USCIS to the U.S Consulate General in Perth, that you have adjusted status in the U.S. We are just following up on the conditions, reason or situation that lead to the adjustment of status in the U.S. We look forward to your response at your earliest convenience."

I adjusted status over three years ago and wondering if this means I'm being investigated or what else it could mean? Very, very , very worried. Has anyone received anything like this or heard of anything like this?

March 2015 - E3 visa (Australia working visa granted)

March 2016 - I-485 change of status filed (based on US citizen husband)

Sept 2016 - Interview and greencard granted same day

July 2018 - Filed for removal of conditional residence

June 2019 - Filed N-400

Currently - waiting outcome of I-751 and n-400

Had our oath taking ceremony today. There were 56 petitioners from 30 different countries (talk about diversity)! Officers and the judge are very friendly. Went straight to the post office  (with the kids) for our passport application. So glad this immigration journey is finally over!

Good luck to everyone who are still waiting for their time. I will check in every now and then to check on your progress.

From your friendly friend from Columbus, OH.

Wow that’s a smart move.😊 Btw, how long did you wait for your oath schedule after interview? I know per state varies but just for estimation. I was interviewed last 11/05 and still waiting for my interview.

Got interviewed Sept 26. Got the oath schedule online 2 days after (Sept 28). And yes the date was a little too far out (Nov 12) unlike some others who had oath taking within 2-3 weeks. No complaints here though :)

I haven't received the letter yet which is surprising but got the printout online which I will take as Notice.

Cheers!

Congrats and good luck! Mine is on Dec 4 at Lawrence. Application sent June 21. 751 still pending so it will be a combo interview

I had my interview today at Fort Smith, AR!  💃🏻 It took all of 15 minutes and I was such a nervous wreck that I could barely show my happiness when he said that I was successful.

It started out a little rocky, for some reason a digit in my SSN was wrong but we moved on quickly. He reviewed my application first. I had overdue taxes from 2016 that I paid between applying for N-400 and my interview so he photocopied proof of my payment.

I also traveled to China after submitting my application so he asked me for the dates and quizzed me a little on why I went there. I was prepared for this so no big deal. 💁🏻‍♀️

More application reviewing. This was the easy part although it did feel a little like an interrogation because he was rapidly firing questions and I (overthinking) thought he might think I was lying if I hesitated. Boy, my brain was fried. 🥴

Then he asked me to do the reading and writing test: (Sorry, I cant remember the exact phrasing)

How many senators are there in Congress?

There are 100 senators in Congress.

Finally, we got to the civics test.

1) We elect a U.S. representative for how many years?

2) Where is the statue of liberty

3) What was the main concern for the United States in the Cold War?
4) We elect a President for how many years?

5) What does the judicial branch do?

6) What is the highest court in the United States?

My interviewer enjoyed making me nervous because he said, “Unfortunately... I can’t give you anymore questions because you have correctly answered all 6 questions.” I burst into nervous laughter. Thanks, dude! 😄

I’m still waiting on my oath ceremony date but my case status changed to approved early this evening.

Congratulations! Same day as yours and please send a shout out when you get your schedule. We might end up on the same day for this oath ceremony.
