I thought consulates schedules immigrants interview and the applicants don’t get to schedule it personally

My case was expedited which means I was able to schedule our own interview 😊

Hi,

 

I had my case expedited as well. All required documents have been submitted, ds-260 filled out, status of the case is ready. Does it mean I can call an embassy  and schedule an appointment?

Just to confirm, you received an email from the NVC letting you know that your expedite request was approved?

 

If you did, then you need to wait for an email from the consulate/embassy with instructions in how to schedule your interview and fingerprints.

Yes, just after email with case # I received another email saying they accepted expediting request and case has been sent to an embassy so I didn’t pay any fees so far (will be paid in embassy). Then I have completed ds-260 and uploaded all required documents. Now status of the case is ready to be scheduled.

That’s great! Is the status says “ready” then YES you can schedule your interview. You need to register in the following website pertaining to your embassy and schedule your interview:

Hi!! My husband and I sent the documents on May 14th and it became DQ or CC on May 24th!!! 10 Days so yeah it is true!! We are on the waiting list for an interview . Hope it doesn’t take too long. Wish you good news soon!!!
