Hi @Greenbaum, does the UK have a P3? If so, could I get a link please? Happy to compare and update you if I receive one from the embassy (if they exist of course).

Do you have UK divorce as their is one more bit of information concerning what is needed and I can give that to you if you need it.

After being stuck at NVC with “administrative processing” for a whole month, our status finally went to “in transit.”

@Greenbaum would you have p3 for Ethiopia? Yes see below

Also, does anyone know if the embassy sends you the interview date, or do we schedule it ourselves? I highly recommend that you don't ask questions specific to your embassy interview preparations from others from Germany, Spain, UK, Philippines etc etc as they all have different procedures.

Those in this thread, are applying from various Embassies around the world and there are different processes for each. So what works in Russian, Philippines or UAE may not work for those processing through the Ethiopian Embassy. When you are at the VJ sub forum for all things dealing with the US Embassy in Ethiopia most there will help answer your questions for the processing of your visa using their personal experience.

Link: http://www.visajourney.com/forums/forum/89-africa-sub-saharan/

Get the Ethiopia K1 Embassy instructions at https://drive.google.com/file/d/1hEsLWL0RE-iAoq_ny5866BsaNq1aYzB8/view?usp=sharing as this is your bible needed to complete and receive your visa. The required documents are included and use the this website as a check list. Once you have completed or gathered the required documents you'll be ready for your interview.

One last place to check for information would be the VJ Wiki found here: http://www.visajourney.com/wiki/index.php/Special:AllPages

My status changed to “Ready” today too.
Is somebody have the
P3 for embassy en france ?

I already filed the DS-160. And i am ready with all my documents, and my medicals visits are on august 27. How can you be ready and you don't have a copy of the P3. Mmmm

Do you think I can book my appointment for beginning of September ? Reading the P3 will enlighten you to the procedure for booking an appointement. Each embassy is different. Some you can appointment for next week others 1 month, 2 months and I have even seen some who had to wait 6 months. No one here, unless they are from France, will know the answer to your question.

BTW, Do we still have to send a  Notification of applicant's readiness (ds-2001) ??? NOT NEEDED for France. that's sounds weird to me, I can't find any informations about that for France. ( or really old ). I never heard about that too before today. Where did you hear that information?

Do you know where YOU can find the best information?? On the embassy's website. From your request I see that was never attempted.

1.

https://fr.usembassy.gov/visas/immigrant-visas/

https://travel.state.gov/content/dam/visas/iv-dv-supplemental/PRS-Paris.pdf

https://drive.google.com/file/d/1g3Kap3mdru6wVgE95v0aLDs7kCvUk3BP/view?usp=sharing

2. If you find anything not up to date or the information is wrong, please share your findings. Please compare the date of the P3 of mine with the date from your copy, once you receive yours from your embassy. Keep in mind that I try and be factual with my information, but I can't do it on my own and that's where you come in and can give back to the community that comes behind you. Without others ahead of you I would not be able to provide this to you.  I can only share factual information if folks like you continue to be my eyes and ears for your embassy. I wish you much success in your visa journey.

3. Many of our answers are predicated on the information you supply in your profile. When we look at the left column and can't determine your timeline OR your Embassy it's hard for us to give you a factual answer. Our answers will sometimes be tailored to a specific Embassy hence the reason for you to complete your profile. If you look at the profile of others here, they have a flag for their country, so it makes it easy for us to reply as we can quickly determine their Embassy. The country that should be used is the country where the interview will take place.

So, if you could help yourself out and complete your profile that sure would help us out when we want to reply to your question with factual information.

Go to the top right of this page select your name (it's on the upper right-hand corner)>my profile>[below your picture on the right column] edit my profile. Scroll to the bottom and fill in "Immigration Info". There now we can better serve you.

Once you finish that then return and you will see a flag in your profile. Select it and see what wonderful information will open up for you.

Thanks

That letter is dated 2016, which makes me leery if it is the most current information. I can't really say as I don't have a P3 from France but I do have links to the embassy website that has a wealth of information for the procedures for a K-1.

i have a quick question, so I send my consulate an email requesting packet 3. They responded and in the instructions it says to complete ds 260. Is this the same form as ds 160. I ask because a few months ago someone gave me packet 3 for my consulate and in those instructions it was a bit different with instructions to fill ds 160. Any advise @Greenbaum

You should be completing the DS-160 and NOT the DS-260. Here is the P3 that I have for El Salvador. You may want to circle back around to the embassy and voice your concern so that they can send you the correct one. Also, this is a good time to head on over to your sub-forum for your country. Link is below. Maybe someone there as a new copy then mine.

If you find anything not up to date or the information is wrong, please share your findings. Please compare the date of the P3 of mine with the date from your copy, once you receive yours from your embassy. It's always your choice to do what you feel is necessary. No one can predict if this is better then another choice when you have no control over the process.

I had my consulate K1 interview today and was approved :) Just wanted pop in to say thank you to @Greenbaum for your wisdom and patience. The process after NOA2 through to the interview was made much easier thanks to your advice, which... all began with reading the first post in this thread!!! It's almost tooooooo easy, which apparently requires it to be repeated ad nauseam. Seriously, you are a saint and we thank you!!

Your appreciation is my motivation.  Thank you.

Since the day I started our process I learned three lessons. They who have the gold make the rules and learning to trust the process was #2. Three was they only promised me a YES or NO answer. Never an exact time that their decision would come.

The PDF was made out of necessity for my sanity. The same question asked over and over again drove me to answer them with this document.  Like you said it's all there and I say only if you read it and NOT read into it.

One more tip for those reading this post is about those who come here and add a questions and it's been answered just in the last few posts prior to theirs.

I add sarcasm to some of my post but there for a reason.  To wake ppl up to that fact that information has been addressed in another post that you neglected to read.

Thank you again.

Thank you for sharing those 3 rules. They are very true, and will be a useful reminder to be grateful as we continue on this journey that has only just begun. They may make the rules, but it is you that has the gold @Greenbaum And you show incredible generosity in sharing your wealth of experience and knowledge with us.

And in addition to its' more obvious utility, I love the sarcasm!  It makes going through hundreds of posts infinitely more readable, and frequently brings a much needed smile :) Cheers!

Hi guys, my case showed Ready in CEAC since July 25 and until now I still didn't receive my P3. What should I do? Nothing in Spam folder also. My embassy is Abu Dhabi.

I'm in the same boat - Dublin embassy though - I'm going to pop over an email today and see what happens.
