I'm currently waiting to receive my police certificate from Germany which might arrive in a month. However, my DS-260 form is complete. Can I submit the form without

the police certificate? or do they need to be submitted at the same time?

Are you sure? I asked my lawyer's secretary and she told us that they need to be submitted together or at least a copy need to be uploaded online. I doubted that so that is why I came here to ask! If that is true I am so disappointed with this lawyer cause we already waited a month for the German certificate and I know it will take another month until they ship the letter to us.

This. Make copies in case too?

You'll also submit one to send to your embassy.

Ps. It's much easier to do it yourself than having a lawyer to waste for.

Yes, I have a feeling we wasted time and money with the lawyer!!!!

Both DS 260 and police certificate (photocopy goes with IV package) are required at NVC stage. DS 260 itself does not require PC. So yes you can submit DS 260 without PC but you won’t get a case complete from NVC till you upload both

  • Send a photocopy of your police certificate(s) to NVC.
  • Bring the original police certificate(s) plus a photocopy to your visa interview at the U.S. Embassy or Consulate.

So that basically means that I shall wait to receive the PC and submit all together and there is no point to submit DS-260 now if I have to wait another month to get the PC, am I right?
