I got the email from the NVC on 4/2/2019 with the case number. On https://ceac.state.gov/CEACStatTracker/ it shows status as ready as of 4/3/2019 how long is it before we should expect email from the Embassy?? I have the invoice number because when I called the NVC they gave me both my case number and the invoice number. But we still need to wait for the email from the Embassy before he can go pay the fee so he can schedule his interview, is that correct?? Also my fiance is starting to gather all evidence now so we are ready for the interview. How many conversations or screenshots should we include?? We have been together for over 15 months now so it's a lot of conversations with talking everyday. Any advise on a good way to put together our conversations? What other things would be good to be preparing now at this point??? 🤷🏼‍♀️

Hi.  Having your case#, now your beneficiary can complete the online DS-160.  Make sure you print out the confirmation page because you will need that to pay the fee.  I don't know how Algeria works, but with our case dealing with Dakar embassy, we didn't have to wait to hear from them before paying.  Good luck.

For your Embassy there is information here: http://www.visajourney.com/consulates/index.php?ctry=Algeria&cty=Alger

The fiancé(e) K-1 nonimmigrant visa is for the foreign-citizen fiancé(e) of a U.S. citizen. The K-1 visa permits the foreign-citizen fiancé(e) to travel to the United States and marry his or her U.S. citizen sponsor within 90 days of arrival. You can learn more about fiancé(e) visas on usvisas.state.gov.

  1. Once your file is received at post, an instruction package will be sent to you by email.
  2. First you need to pay the visa fee at one of Aramex offices, and then you have to register and schedule a K-visa appointment through the online appointment system at
    www.ustraveldoc.com/dz.
  3. Assemble the required documents that are listed on the instruction package.
  4. Schedule a medical examination with the Embassy-approved physician in Algiers at least 15 days before your visa interview
  5. If the visa is issued, your passport and documents will be available in approximately 7-10 business days at Aramex office that you already selected for pick up or delivery.
  6. If the visa is refused, the Consular Officer will provide you with further information.

The packet will come to you (and continue to check your junk folder....sometimes it ends up there). The email will tell the beneficiary to complete the DS160, register with ustraveldocs (they are who you will schedule the appointment through.....and it can be a nightmare).

The following documents will be required for the interview.....birth certificate, criminal record, certificate of non marriage (or any divorce decree if applicable) and the military card.....plus the English translations.

I am happy for you guys! It’s all downhill from here! If you need anything..... I will always help as much as I can. 😊

Have you encountered any problems from the links I posted? One of those links advises what you should do if you haven't heard from the embassy.  Did you find it and have you tried doing what they recommended? What have your heard from the embassy?
