K-1 - USCIS online account question

It’s been a little over three months since the USCIS received my I-129F petition for a K-1 visa.  I received my NOA1 already so, at the moment, I’m just sitting and waiting for a decision.

I imagine my package is in a pile until an agent frees up and can actually begin reviewing it.

I set up an online account on the USCIS website so I can monitor things.  Is there any kind of information that would appear in my online account that indicates when someone actually starts reviewing my package?

Or does nothing display and, at some point, BOOM!  An I-797 appears in my mailbox?

The wait is painful but I’m happy to already be three months in.  Thanks in advance for any guidance or information.

You won't see an update on the website until there is an RFE, Approval, Denial, or Notice of Intent to Deny (NOID).

This usually appears about a week or so before you get the physical notice. Sometimes the electronic notification is not received for whatever reason.

The answer is BOOM!  An I-797 appears in my mailbox? No updates along the way. And the process is now taking 5-8 months but closer to 8 then 5. https://egov.uscis.gov/processing-times/more-info

Sometimes the online account is useless,  my account has never updated to show anything since May 2018 not even my approval. The account works for some yet others its useless. Hopefully it will be a good tool for you to use my experience with it is it's useless.

Nothing was ever updated for me either, still I do not consider it useless as we will be using it for I-485 AoS and hopefully eventually naturalization applications.

its hit or miss whether either of the online portals have any updates. I got my approval on the new website and it still shows received on the old one, while others have not received any updates on either website.

Concur with everyone else, and I'll add, check to see if USPS offers informed delivery in your/The USC's area. Our case also never updated online so the first we found out a NOA2 was about to hit our mailbox was via this service. https://informeddelivery.usps.com/box/pages/intro/start.action
