I don't see how the Democrat party can survive at this rate..........I don't believe, for one minute, that the average citizen is in favor of illegal voting or some of the other stuff we hear from the radical left.  I think people like Schultz will take a big portion of their base away.

The Radicals are all I think in safe seats, does not really matter what they say or do, well the only risk they run is from those even more extreme.

Now of course they are a minority, those is a swing area must be concerned, they can be taken down.

So why didn't the Republicans do it? They had 2 years and they had to know that there is historically a big swing in the house at midterm. You would think there would have been that sense of urgency if they really wanted to get it done.

Simple

There was still a large number of Never Trumper and RINO in the GOP party, they were still butt hurt as well that a non politician won the election.  Trump was not only running against the dems to become President, he also had a his fair share or Republicans who didn't want him to win, Surely you remember a handful of GOP members who said they would not vote for Trump.

When Trump wins again in 2020 and takes back GOP control over both side of congress with GOP loyal to him, that is when you will see major immigration reform.

Trump admitted he should of pushed the immigration issue earlier in his Presidency, he said he was still learning, Can't blame the guy for that, he wasn't a career politician, I am sure he has figured it out by now

This is a curious thing.  Take for instance AOC, she primaried a long time Rep. that was not nearly as extreme.  One wonders if she is truly safe, or if a more moderate Democrat can beat her in the primary.  I also wonder if the Democrat Party would even care.

I did read a report on how she did it and the very short version was that he was complacent and she mobilized the activists, so he was an easy target.

Could Moderates do the same, yes, however once the activists get control they do not tend to play nice so difficult to see it happen.
