What happens if N400 gets denied [merged threads]

Hi everyone, I'm filing N-400 application without getting help from a lawyer so I would be happy if anyone can help me answer these questions.

1 - I filled the form online as PDF however I cannot type in some fields. Can I print the form with some empty fields and hand write? I cannot type anything into some fields for some reason and i tried using different browsers etc. Does it have to be fully typed in computer?

2 - In the instructions, it says we need to put "N/A" if answer is not applicable. I do not have a middle name. Should I type "N/A" into middle name field? My concern is that it can take my middle name as "N/A" which is wrong. Am I really supposed to type "N/A" for every single field if I don't have an answer?

3- In a section, I am supposed to enter my previous addresses. I know the dates for my last 2 years' addresses however I don't really remember exact move-in/move-out dates for addresses I lived in 2015 and 2014. I was student and I lived with roommates and moved in/moved out couple times. I definitely know the years and addresses but i don't remember the exact day of month for some address. What should I do if I cannot remember the exact day and month of the move in/out dates? How accurate should be the move in / move out dates?

Thank you in advance for taking time.

Mark.

Hi everyone, I am sorry if this question is asked before but I think it may be worth asking it in a separate topic.

I am filling N-400 form and I have to enter my previous address for last 5 years. I remember the address and years for each address however I do not remember the exact day and month for move in/move out date. At some addresses I lived with a roommate and family etc and I was a student at that time. I didn't have contact or lease for these places but I have my lease for current and previous address.

What should I do if I cannot remember the exact day and month of the move in/out dates? How accurate should be the move in / move out dates?

Thank you in advance for taking time.

Mark.

Hi, I am curious to know what would be options if N-400 gets denied for a random reason like forgetting to mail green-card or misspelling name or missing interview or any other reason?

Obviously I would double check everything but real reason I am asking is that I am filling this form myself without getting any help from a lawyer and I wonder if I make a mistake, will I be screwed and not get a chance to fix it? Will I completely lose my chance to apply for naturalization if N-400 gets denied?

Thank you.

If it gets denied for trivial reason like you mentioned, you just remain an LPR. Citizenship process is definitely easier that AOS. I don't know how you can mess it up.

Apply online, it is easy and you could avoid mistake.  You will be called for interview and you will get the opportunity to make minor correction during interview, so you do not need lawyer and it is relatively easier than other immigration journeys you have gone through so far with less paperwork.

You can guesstimate the date, you wouldn’t get penalized for not having an exact move-in/move-out day/date.

Don’t list N/A in the name section, otherwise that would be assumed as part of your name. Even though the form sales to list N/A and not leave any section blank, you’re still expected to use your discretion in doing so. Don’t list N/A where it doesn’t make sense to do so.

Why do you use browsers? Use Adobe reader.
