I tried. But I don't have a mortgage and the one credit card I have for emergencies didn't match.  It does not pay not to have any debt.))))) I ordered transcripts a few days ago by mail and it said it would take 10-15 days....Blah. I have my 1040s + w2s and I make considerably more than the limit....Double blah....

I did my 2017 taxes but didn't do my 2016 taxes.  According to Turbo Tax the IRS is no longer accepting Efile for 2016 so after I fill it out online then I have to mail it in.  I'm going to overnight mail it when I get to the US on Monday and I'm going to complete my 2018 taxes in the next day or 2.

Only if you have an outstanding loan or a credit card that matches what they look for...

Looks like about 10% of today’s interviews needed transcripts. Some with just 1040s passed and some with 1040s needed transcripts. There were just a few 221(g)s compared to all the approved. It may be a good idea for everyone to bring transcripts now. I don’t see a pattern unless the 1040s don’t match the W2s.

if they don't match then they are forged right? lol

Well I got Mercy as much information as I can give her for the support side. Hopefully it is sufficient

Yes.  There are so many weird things going on.  It may just be one CO who asks for it from everyone.  A couple of them had their 1040ez when they were given the 221(g).  At least one didn't bring a 1040 at all.  LOTS were not even asked.  LOTS were approved.  The percentage of 221(g)s was tiny versus the percentage of approvals.  People with full itemized 1040s that were looked at were approved.  It is definitely not a requirement but it probably isn't bad to have.

If the 1040 and W2 don't match I would assume they would get more than a 221(g).  That would be bad.

FYI you can also go an IRS office and if you don't mind waiting a bit, you can walk out with your tax return transcripts.  That's what my husband did because in 2013 you couldn't download them online.

Thanks, I will dig a little further. If it's just a matter of downloading a pdf file and emailing it to her, that is doable. Of course, that means she will have to find someplace to print it! She is already in Manila for her medical (interview 2/14). That will give her a few days.

Removal of Conditions

filed 2.25.22

NOA 3.1.22

Biometrics waived 3.28.22

N-400

Applied online 3.13.23

NOA 3.13.23

Biometrics appointment - 4.5.23

Interview (combo) - 8.6.23

Oath Ceremony!

8.10.23

There are computer houses all over that will print stuff for a few pesos.

I am wondering if they request them from people using the 1040 ez form. From what I’ve seen no one with a full 1040 were issued 221(g) and only a handful were issued it at all. I’m hoping for a pattern. A vast majority just had only 1040 without a problem or they weren’t even asked.

All 221(g)s that I’ve heard from yesterday were K-1.

Did you get this information from our new favorite group?
