I received my VISA packet today and overlooked the warning not to open it. I am worried. Does anyone know what to do?

Contact the embassy as (i think) they can reseal/redo it.

Yes, contact the Embassy. They can reseal it. Be prepared that they will scold you and give you hard time, but eventually they will do it.

Thanks! Is it alright to let the weekend pass? Since the Embassy is closed on weekends. I was told that I can send it back but I want to make sure and contact them first.

Expect some push back.  They will need to re-establish chain of custody for all papers in the package and they will verify each one.  About a year or so ago there was a person that may not have been quite as contrite as they felt he should be and they took 2 weeks to return the sealed envelope.  I think a lot of that was because he was complaining that he was going to miss is flight because they were taking so long.

Apologize and don't get defensive when they ask you how you missed those big bold black letters on the envelope telling you not to open or attempt to open the package.  Take your hits and you will walk out with a newly certified and sealed package.

PHILIPPINES ONLY!!!  CFO (Commission on Filipinos Overseas) INFO - Can't leave home without it!

1.) You have no choice now.  I assume you will be hand carrying the envelope to them first thing Monday morning?

2.)  Again, no choice.

There will be more instructions that you'll encounter soon. So hopefully this will serve as a good lesson for you.

OK. So what and what was in it after you opened it satisfy your curiosity?

I honestly don't know. I only opened it for the purpose of pulling out my passport. :)

Thanks! I am very much regretful for my inadvertence and I hope that doesn't change anything with the visa.
