Paying $265 fee for Nonimmigrant visa

Hello all. My fiancé filled out the ds-160 form and now we were trying to pay the fee for the visa.

. I went on the website and signed up for an account and the k1visa is listed as a immigrant visa (even tho I know it is an Nonimmigrant visa) as instructed. It let me go all the way to the conformation page and print out but I never got a step to pay the fee.

It says that CIMB NIAGA is the bank we can pay cash at however it never let us print out a deposit slip or anything.

Questions:

*How to pay the visa fee?

*Is it done at the embassy?

*Also I checked the status of CEAC website and it says “ready”. Does this mean it is at the embassy in Jakarta Indonesia? If so what is the next step?

I haven’t received anything from the NVC other than them stating they were sending to the embassy in indo.

Please help 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻

Pay the fee at the bank.  They know how to take your money

See above

Yes.  Fill out the ds160, pay the fee, schedule the interview,  get medical completed,  gather all requirements for interview

In the email from nvc they should have attached a letter.   This is the last time you will hear from them

You can check your status on ceac.state.gov from this step forward. Your confirmation page will be needed to present to the bank to make your payment.

Hi Erika,

I also deal with Jakarta embassy duting my K1 visa, I'm the beneficiary. A lot MIGHT have changed in the visa process but please see my comment below:

*How to pay the visa fee? I paid my visa at the embassy during my interview. Please email the JakIV email address to ensure you're able to do this. They're VERY responsive and will be the most reliable source of information for your visa related questions.

*Is it done at the embassy? Yes. At least in 2016 based on my experience.

*Also I checked the status of CEAC website and it says “ready”. Does this mean it is at the embassy in Jakarta Indonesia? If so what is the next step? Not exactly sure what to advise on this, as I forgot what is CEAC, but by now your fiance must already receive an interview notice from the embassy, in that email, there's a list of documents that must be presented/submitted during his / her interview. Read that email thoroughly and make sure that you're able to produce/complete the required documents. If I remember this correctly, the USC petitioner also received the same email advising them to prepare said documents.

I haven’t received anything from the NVC other than them stating they were sending to the embassy in indo.

note:

1. Prepare EVERYTHING as requested, don't do last minute preparation on the day of the interview. You / beneficiary want to come prepared, relaxed and calm.

2. Read, and read again. If you think you understand everything written, READ AGAIN. A lot of the time the answers of your question is clearly written in the govt official instruction.

3. This is a long and rather exhausting process, best to tackled as a team, get your fiancé(e) to contribute as much as you do.

4. If he/she is not confident with English, EVERYONE at the US embassy Jakarta speaks fluent Bahasa.

Good luck. all the best!

J/G

Please help 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻

Just bring cash and pay at the interview at the embassy.  Much easier and ensures no screw ups

My fiance had the same email instructions.  Then I sent an email to JAKIV@state.gov and asked the question.  Response as follows:

Suggest the OP send an email to the Jakarta Embassy and ask directly to see if this is still possible

That would be the prudent thing to do

My conclusion after six months in this website is that people do take the time to read, the process is no rocket science, people make the whole thing more difficult than what it is just for not reading, and do some research from official sources. I strongly agree with what you just said A lot of the time the answers of your question is clearly written in the govt official instruction.

Yes.  Fill out the ds160, pay the fee, schedule the interview,  get medical completed,  gather all requirements for interview

In the email from nvc they should have attached a letter.   This is the last time you will hear from them

I think this sequence of events would be clearer if it included the P3 and P4 steps.

Can you confirm is which is the correct order:

Receive P3

Fill out DS 160

Pay the fee

Send P3

Receive P4

Schedule the Interview

Get Medical completed

Gather all requirements for interview

OR

Receive P3

Fill out DS 160

Send P3

Receive P4

Pay the fee

Schedule the Interview

Get Medical completed

Gather all requirements for interview
