Now wait a minute, the article seems to have a few contradictions.

This seems to imply that all NYers will get coverage even if they can afford it or have insurance, even though later in the article they only talk about those without health insurance.  I can imagine a lot of NYers dropping their costly ACA policies in the near future.

Amazing, I have had serious health issues over the last 5 years, I pay $700/month in health premiums and have averaged 10k annually additional in out of pocket expenses for those 5 years. Wish I had free insurance and no bills

It also said they would use a sliding scale.......It seems to me that healthcare costs will rise for those whose income registers on that scale......to pay for the needy and "undocumented"......

If it isn't insurance, then it has to be direct payment for services.......with very hefty discounts, I presume...

That is still a TBD I think, but you are right, someone has to pay.  If I lived in NYC, I would like a little more detail into the $100 million estimate.
