My wife is in exactly the same boat. We filed on January 10th, got a confirmation text and the money withdrawn around January 17th and got a Biometrics notice for this Thursday but still no NOA1 Receipt letter. The receipt number sent both by text and on the biometrics notice are not recognized online either and my wife's Green Card expires this Saturday. Definitely going to call on Tuesday to see what's up. Anyone know if this is normal?

What service center is your case filed at?

I am in the same situation as well, my filing date is Jan 9. No receipt or biometrics notice yet. My case is filed at Nebraska (LIN)

Since it has been more than 30 days after filing, your wife can call USCIS and create a request for Non-delivery of receipt notice. OR you can create the request online here:

https://egov.uscis.gov/e-request/displayNDNForm.do?entryPoint=init&sroPageType=ndn

Your wife can also get an I-551 passport stamp from your local field office in order to show proof of LPR status for travel/New Job/Driver License Renewal

Filed I-751 Packet approx. 01/18 to the AZ Lockbox location, check cashed 01/22 and have heard nothing since. No texts, No Emails, No receipts. It seems that receiving times are rather sporadic. Next step is to give USCIS a call to see what's what. No news is good news and all that Jazz.

I think you are referring to the USCIS Phoenix Lockbox. This is just the filing location, not the Service Center.

The first 3 characters of your receipt # tells you the USCIS service center or office that received & is processing your case:

SRC - Texas Service Center (TSC)
LIN - Nebraska Service Center (NSC)
WAC - California Service Center (CSC)
EAC - Vermont Service Center (VSC)
MSC - Missouri Service Center (MSC), now known as National Benefits Center (NBC)

YSC - Potomac Service Center

IOE - ELIS (e-Filing)

For example, my receipt # starts with LIN, so my case is at the Nebraska Service Center

Just passing our case info along to this forum...

(Texas Service Center)

We received an automated email from USCIS today stating that...

"We are still reviewing your case and there are no updates at this time. We will notify you when your case status changes. We last took action on February 5."

Interesting because we have already received our NOA extension letter and have made no further inquiry to them since receiving the letter.

Our mail that was "On Hold" due to an international trip was finally delivered today.  We received an original I-797 Receipt Notice extending my wife's green card for 18 months.  Since she already did the biometric, it's back to the waiting game.  Good luck everyone!

My company just sent me an email that my work authorization is expiring and asked me to refill I-9 form.

However, i haven't received I-797 yet. Has anyone faced this issue before?

I remember reading that you can continue working with expired green card in some thread, but when i read the I-9 form, it seems we need the notice.

My SSN is also restricted as i learnt of unrestricted SSN option just a week ago.

01/09/2019  Mailed ROC package via FEDEX to Lewisville,Texas

01/11/2019  Package delivered to USCIS office

01/16/2019  Received text message with service center as SRC

01/17/2019  Status on https://myaccount.uscis.dhs.gov/ as accepted. Check submitted electronically to my bank. Not cashed yet.

01/18/2019  Check cashed electronically.

02/07/2019  Called USCIS regarding non delivery of receipt . They asked me to call back after 30 days have expired since delivery

02/11/2019  Called USCIS again regarding non delivery of receipt. Mentioned that license will expire along with greencard on 02/28.

The lady filed a request on my behalf so i could schedule infopass.

                        I separately also filed e-request(https://egov.uscis.gov/e-request/displayNDNForm.do?entryPoint=init&sroPageType=ndn

by choosing I-751 and other option , before calling USCIS just in case.

02/13/2019 Got callback from USCIS that infopass cannot be scheduled, but they will mail

                       a duplicate notice.

11/08/2019 Biometrics got completed

03/24/2020 Case status got changed to card being produced

Has anyone received a biometrics waiver? This is the only notice we rec'd letting us know that there is no need for the biometrics appointment and they will not be refunding the fee.

Did you use your 2yr conditional GC when you starting working for your current company & filled the initial I-9?

If yes, then your employer cannot ask you to refill / re-verify the I-9 form again.

Also, if your 2 yr GC has not yet expired, you can still try to apply for the unrestricted Social Security card.
