Excellent same as I did with mine when I was running out of time on my 180 extension.

With regards to I-131, in my opinion I think you should have just completed another application for renewal same as the I-765 as it wouldn't cause any harm but no worries you can always apply later.

okay thank you.

Hi everyone, I am a silent reader and i have learnt a lot from everyone here. So, for anyone that has filed for an EAD renewal based on pending i485 and is out of processing time, i would advise that you apply for a new renewal and attach your previous EAD extension letters to it. This is what i did and my card is ready for production almost after two weeks they received it.

Filled Renewal March 1st 2018

Re-filed another renewal  Nov 19th 2018

Card in production today

But i have a question though, my first EAD card was a combo card but i didnt  file 131 (travel permit) this time. Do you think i will get a combo card this time or not?

Thanks!

No you will not get a combo card if you did not file I-131. They wouldn’t just give you a free service that’s more work for them.

Thanks for your response. Let's keep praying all goes well. With regards to the EAD,I reapplied again for renewal and added the copy of the 180 extension with the passport pictures, with my 131 application.

Mine was approved and received the combo card within a month. Pretty fast processing when they realised that my 180 day extension was running out.

I also stated in my cover letter in a humble plea that I would be out of a job if my application wasn't processed on time.

I don’t have to pay for filing another i765 renewal since the other is still pending. Do I?

No I didn't pay for any of my renewals because I had already paid for the 485 and it's pending so both the 765 and 485 were free.

Hello everyone,

Please I just realized that in the response letter sent from USCIS to my congresswoman had a wrong 360 case number listed on it with response that it's pending security checks.

What do I do next? Can I go to her office and bring it her notice or just wait?

Any advise or suggestion at this point in time will highly be welcomed and appreciated.

God bless everyone.

@Omega of you have a lawyer, he/she will be the one to receive it. Although I provided a mailing address when filing for my 360, I've never received anything form USCIS thru that mail. Both my lawyers copies and mine go to him.  And he email me a copy since I'm in another state.it takes like 4days to a week to receive it, weather permitting. Just relax, you're almost at the end of your journey.

thanks so much @Yollande

@gramercy I've always wondered how many years is valid on a GC from vawa? 10 years, 5 or 3yrs?

It is 10 years, so next step should be to apply for citizenship .

It's a mistake  as Sandra reported before one of her clients got a 2 years greencard and they had to request  a replacement 10 yrs card.

any February 2017 still waiting on their case? I replied to my 2nd RFE they received it 70 days ago and still no updates

@notmeI can understand your frustration, the wait after RFE more painful than the long wait itself. Some people gets approved after 29 days, some 32 days after RFE response. Do you have a lawyer? RFE are normally to be answered after 60 days. Maybe your lawyer can call the Vawa hotline. Is been 26 days they received my RFE, I can't eat nor sleep. I feel hopeless. Stay strong!💪
