So far so good.   Tomorrow is vaccinations and psych evaluation and then get the results.   She wants to wait until medical in hand before scheduling the interview.   Ds160 is locked and loaded.   She needs to go to bpi and pay the fee and then we can schedule

That was not a good idea to do the medical before having the interview scheduled because the expiration date of the visa is tied to the medical date, not the interview date. It may take another month or two to be able to schedule the interview, and even if it was approved right away that's down below 5 months, and maybe as little as three months of validity, which would put additional pressure and stress about traveling. I know we're all eager to be with our loved ones, but doing it this way if they don't also live in Manila means extra flights, plus there may be a lack of affordable plane tickets at the last minute.

One should always have the interview scheduled first, especially if they were at risk of the need for sputum examinations, because they can get the embassy to delay the interview, but if you do things out of order you may time out and on a K1 visa application (mention of DS160) that's game over and you have to start again or file a I130 after marrying her.

Cuz we booked our interview last night and I took notes.  Thursday was the only day that was open each week.   About 100 openings per Thursday.  6:40 and 7:10 if I remember correctly

YMMV

We did the medical maybe a little earlier than ideal. But she had only flown once before and it was with me.   Her cousin was going to Manila for a different reason,  so we just piggybacked on her trip to give her a travel companion

that would be good for her.... i plan to be with my sister on my medical then on my interview my fiance will be coming just to support me and at the same time for vacation. Not necessary though that he is present on the interview.
