I liked that but I can't tell if it has been updated since June. I'm on a phone so maybe it's more clear on a computer?

That’s awesome!!  Reducing corporate taxes.  Much like the corporate bailouts of the previous administration, only to a much lesser amount.  Should stimulate the economy nicely!

The graphs on that website seem to contradict the earlier article.

Tax revenues seem to have decreased overall, based on that website which uses data from the Federal Reserve.

I thought the general consensus was they had increased? Wasn't I told that was common knowledge? Seems be down about 100 billion dollars from the year prior for Q2 and Q3 2018 (109 billion for Q3, for example).

Thanks. My desktop accounts are locked out right now. Phone is all I got for posting.  Hard to do links, but I thought it was common knowledge.

I hope your link was current enough of a statistic not to warrant a scolding .

I had already posted a link fro IBD earlier in this thread that was ignored.

Hmm, I don't pretend to understand this stuff all that well but I generally like graphs, do I found one.

What do people make of this? Seems to suggest something different.

So why is the Fed Bank of St. Louis reporting different numbers than the US Dept. of Treasury?

I don't see a link to the US Treasury department website two pages back. Did I miss it?

If you are talking about a third party reporting their data, I'd rather go to the source. Hence why I found a Federal website's data instead of a news article.

No but it is a federal government source, and not some news website with obvious intent to prove a point.

The website I've provided has all of the data, very explicitly laid out, with sources for their data. I would trust that over an opinion piece with carefully selected data any day. That is common sense.

I'm not saying the other website is lying or presenting false data, but they may need selectively reporting certain numbers. When you look at all of the data for each quarter, it seems pretty clear overall revenues are down from last year.

Why are you saying that? Because you believe it, or because you want to believe it? I suspect the latter.

Here is the BEA data which shows something a little different than the FED.  The FED site claims their data is from the BEA.

Website isn't displaying data on my phone, I'll check it out when I'm at a computer though I have a lot of work things today so I can't spend too much time.

I find it discouraging that even Federal sources of data may present different information. We should be able to have clear transparency so, if desired, we can just look at the data.

I'm perfectly happy if revenues have gone up, it's just annoying that using official sources of data still may not present the data appropriately.

I like this one, because it agrees with me!!  (LOL, j/k)

Here you go, bcking.  A SS for you.

Yes, it shows tax revenue up.  Particularly from other countries.  Unfortunately, outflow is also up, so it’s not as much to get excited about as one might think.
