US embassy was without an ambassador for 9 months and it seemed to affect everything including immigraiton interviews

the New ambassador David Fisher is familar with Morocco and the Sahari issues

He even knew that Morocco was the first nation to recognize America as a country separate from England

we have noted a remarkable change in the visa interview process since he passed the Senate hearings

already 4 VJ K1 appovals in november and CR1

He is up on the terrorists issues and i am hopeful he will protect us from any who would come to harm the US

i would hope it would be easier on parents who want to have a tourist visa to come for family visits and to see the US

Good luck to Derik,  my friend who's wife will finally have long waited interview (December 14th)

I need to add that anyone trying for a visa in Morocco should read some videos and news articles and know what is going on in the country

Fes and northern cities are having issues with DS 5535 needed and the process to clear /this takes about a year

unrest in the Sahari in the south

many trying to take boats and flee morocco as they are poor and jobs are few

marijuana in morocco is illegal but it is the 2nd biggest grower of the product and many use it (think of this when a beneficary has to pass medical exam)

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cannabis_in_Morocco

TB, aids and diabettes are also issues with health problems

https://www.moroccoworldnews.com/2017/11/234643/moroccans-hiv-unaids-aids-morocco/

Get to know not only the person u fall in love with but know the country and issues

don't be surprised and disappointed

Odd, I did not think an Ambassador was involved with the Consulate.

The consular assignments probably turned over, as they do every 2 years.

06-04-2007 = TSC stamps postal return-receipt for I-129f.

06-11-2007 = NOA1 date (unknown to me).

07-20-2007 = Phoned Immigration Officer; got WAC#; where's NOA1?

09-25-2007 = Touch (first-ever).

09-28-2007 = NOA1, 23 days after their 45-day promise to send it (grrrr).

10-20 & 11-14-2007 = Phoned ImmOffs; "still pending."

12-11-2007 = 180 days; file is "between workstations, may be early Jan."; touches 12/11 & 12/12.

12-18-2007 = Call; file is with Division 9 ofcr. (bckgrnd check); e-prompt to shake it; touch.

12-19-2007 = NOA2 by e-mail & web, dated 12-18-07 (187 days; 201 per VJ); in mail 12/24/07.

01-09-2008 = File from USCIS to NVC, 1-4-08; NVC creates file, 1/15/08; to consulate 1/16/08.

01-23-2008 = Consulate gets file; outdated Packet 4 mailed to fiancee 1/27/08; rec'd 3/3/08.

04-29-2008 = Fiancee's 4-min. consular interview, 8:30 a.m.; much evidence brought but not allowed to be presented (consul: "More proof! Second interview! Bring your fiance!").

05-05-2008 = Infuriating $12 call to non-English-speaking consulate appointment-setter.

05-06-2008 = Better $12 call to English-speaker; "joint" interview date 6/30/08 (my selection).

06-30-2008 = Stokes Interrogations w/Ecuadorian (not USC); "wait 2 weeks; we'll mail her."

07-2008 = Daily calls to DOS: "currently processing"; 8/05 = Phoned consulate, got Section Chief; wrote him.

08-07-08 = E-mail from consulate, promising to issue visa "as soon as we get her passport" (on 8/12, per DHL).

08-27-08 = Phoned consulate (they "couldn't find" our file); visa DHL'd 8/28; in hand 9/1; through POE on 10/9 with NO hassles(!).

Trump was upset with Morocco and "on purpose"  delayed appointing one

to Boiler the ambassador doesn't do the interview, of course, but he sets the tone for the direction the embassy proceeds

to makes for good or bad relations

and we have seen a big increase in interviews scheduled and approvals with him /  may not be why but we see it that way as he seems to know Morocco well

Well I remember when there has US Visa issues in the media in the UK and the Ambassador has said that is a Consulate issue. They also say they do not discuss individual cases.

It's not why.  The consular staff turned over.

Continuing to insist that Ambassadors have anything to do with visa approvals will result in this thread being locked, at minimum.  That presumption is highly incorrect and might lead people very astray.

it is not a Trump thing

as i said above "it is because 11 terrorists camps were"found and there were bombings like the one in Marrackeh marketplace"

Trump and Morocco had an issue as the King fell asleep while Trump was talking

and morocco was bidding against us for the World Cup

the Co's who do interviews are the same

Consular officers are rotated to different posts every 2 years, or 3 at the very outside.  Stop promoting inaccurate information that will mislead people.
