I finally got my case number! NVC received my case Oct. 23rd. I called today at about 12:30 pm EST and was told no case number yet. Then I got an email at around 5:15 pm with the case number. It looks

you have to add joint sponsor in your ceac account by clicking on the option of "add joint sponsor" (which is available in your account above your name). In 1 hour nvc will send you email after adding

Do you still have to upload Passport pics to NVC? I see it's listed but thought they stopped that.

My lawyer asked me to give him scanned passport pics. 

March 6, 2018: i-130 petition filed.

March 14, 2018: i-130 Petition received. (8 days)

October 15, 2018: i-130 Petition approved. (7 months, 1 day)

October 17, 2018: Case sent to NVC. (2 days)

October 25, 2018: Case received at NVC. (8 days)

December 4, 2018: NVC case# Generated. (1 month, 9 days)

December 5, 2018: Fee paid online. (1 day)

December 7, 2018: DS-261 submitted online and Other documents e-mailed. (2 days)

December 20, 2018: Case closed. (13 days)

Hello all! 

 

My case is at the NVC since September this year.Today I finally got an email that my case was complete and that the NVC will check when I can have my interview at the consulate in Amsterdam, the Netherlands. I read this could be anytime between 2 and 8 weeks before I get my interview date. On December 11 we also have an appointment with the consulate in Amsterdam for an CRBA for my daughter. Is there any possibility that I can ask the consulate to also have my interview on December 11? Or should I just wait until I get an appointment date?

When NVC schedules an interview, they send your packet to the consulate. The interview is set based on the schedule sent by consulate to NVC and your queue in the list. You can always email NVC to make this request of scheduling the interview, but given that there is only 11 more days to go and NVC is not scheduling for December anymore worldwide (NVC phone rep confirmed this), it seems highly unlikely.
