NVC Filers - November 2018

Timeline

Is NVC taking more time lately? I know NVC says up to 8 weeks. But I have seen few lucky people here who got their case # within a month and they are Sep and Oct filers. Any idea?

NVC recieved my case Oct 25. And today is Nov 28. I wonder how long would it take them. 

 

March 6, 2018: i-130 petition filed.

March 14, 2018: i-130 Petition received. (8 days)

October 15, 2018: i-130 Petition approved. (7 months, 1 day)

October 17, 2018: Case sent to NVC. (2 days)

October 25, 2018: Case received at NVC. (8 days)

December 4, 2018: NVC case# Generated. (1 month, 9 days)

December 5, 2018: Fee paid online. (1 day)

December 7, 2018: DS-261 submitted online and Other documents e-mailed. (2 days)

December 20, 2018: Case closed. (13 days)

January 8, 2019: Interview Scheduled. (19 days)

February 26, 2019: Interview. (49 days) ....Pending....

They are basically on 10/23-24.. from yesterday's post

 

They are taking forever apparently..

From my research 4-6 weeks is pretty normal. I am guessing Thanksgiving holidays plus the Veterans day holiday earlier in the month may have caused some delay as well.

Yes 4 weeks is standard minimum time and can go till 6 weeks but considering holidays i will say 5 weeks time is latest or current.

 

@Shan2019 Hopefully you should be expecting something by end of this week.

Same here Oct 25th. Still waiting. But Another forum member, “Jacque e Andrew“ said they Were on Oct 23rd - Oct 24th 2 days ago. So hopefully by end of today or most likely tomorrow.

Definitely. I usually call early in the morning, but if we start to hear news today of people of the 25th receiving numbers, I'll call asap.

I would also try calling them in evening. Because few days ago somebody said they called morning there was no case number but by the end of they day they got email from NVC with case number.

I also haven’t heard any good news, yet. (Received on Oct 25th)
