Your fiancé wants the best for you and that the process will go smoothly hence the reasoning for him to hire a lawyer. He has compassion for you and understands that this is going to be a long process. What a great fiancé you have. Unfortunately, no matter if he did the paperwork or the lawyer completes it, you are still going to be waiting. Gratitude is a two way street and comes in different forms. You have to trust the process.

Thanks very much i really appreciate your words, sweet words indeed and its reality.

None of any of us can do its all in their hands now, we can just wait and pray for the best. It feels good to see people are getting approved and moving one step closer to their lover.

I believe God choose us to love each other and he will be with us to make us together as well for FOREVER

Welcome to the thread. We are glad you are here (so far we are glad) but seeing your first post I wonder how things will go for you. Here is what you need to do. Call back and ask to speak to a tier 2 agent and KINDLY ask them if they can fax a copy of the RFE to you as you are leaving the country and will not be their to intercept the mail. Yes, it's a little white lie but there is a good chance you will find a kind hearted tier 2 that will help you. A tier 2 is the only one that has access to those systems. They can also read it to you (most will do this but some don't) and let you know what they are requesting.

Many of our answers are predicated on the information you supply in your profile. When we look at the left column and can't determine your timeline OR your Embassy it's hard for us to give you a factual answer. Our answers will sometimes be tailored to a specific Embassy hence the reason for you to complete your profile. If you look at the profile of others here, they have a flag for their country, so it makes it easy for us to reply as we can quickly determine their Embassy. The country that should be used is the country where the interview will take place.

So, if you could help yourself out and complete your profile that sure would help us out when we want to reply to your question with factual information.

Go to the top right of this page select your name (it's on the upper right-hand corner)>my profile>[below your picture on the right column] edit my profile. Scroll to the bottom and fill in "Immigration Info". There now we can better serve you.

Once you finish that then return and you will see a flag in your profile. Select it and see what wonderful information will open up for you.

Thanks

Hey everyone!

I need to submit an English Translation for Passport stamps and a Visa. In the RFE I was sent, it only said that it needs to be a certified translation, but should I have it notarized? Or is it okay if it's only certified? I just want to make sure not to make any mistakes with my response to the RFE.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks

We did the same thing. In my fiance's country for example public notare wont sign a paper in less it's an official document like birth certificate etc. In my case we used letter from friends with their signature and copy of their ID and their address and phone numbers so they can see people are open to answer more questions if they feel like.

Did they ask you to translate their ID's? Or were they already in english?

These people are the best at this. Tell them exactly what the letter is requesting and they'll do it right and quickly.

You only get one chance at an RFE so evaluate what is going meet their requirements.

Nice, all the best  - atleats you have heard something from them.

Yes first thing is to ask for the NOA1 so you know the exact dates of case, and more important that he really submitted your case or no.

So ... Here it is, just might be the worst news ever on VJ history

the lawyer have not submit our petition yet.

Said there are some missing documents from my fiance, and yet, no one ever contacted us for it since last November when they happily charge us for the whole process.

They also asked for Affidavits or Sworn written statements. Do you think those need to be notarized as well? or is it okay if they are just sworn statements?

For my letters written by my friends I out an ID but not translation cause it's pretty much only their name and date of birth. And two of others has English on it as well. We probably should have but we did not. And it was optional to out their ID copy I only wanted to show that such person exist. I don't even know anymore what it is correct and what is not. Our was more concentrated on two year meeting face to face requirements that anything else.
