Hi there ,

Does anyone know the actual case processing time for Nebraska service center ? I’m a U.S citizen making a petition for my husband. I know they take 7 to 9 months and half currently. I received NOA1 on March 20th 2018. And on here I’m getting that the Nebraska service center , is currently viewing cases of March 1st 2018. However on the USCIS actual website I’m getting that there on Janurary 25th 2018. Who’s right and who’s wrong ? Help

Historically, the USCIS web site is not updated regularly.  The VJ processing dates are updated continually based the accuracy of VJ members who have updated their timelines.   If VJ is currently showing cases of March 1st 2018 are being reviewed, it means that at least SOME cases as late as March 1st, 2018 have been reviewed.  It does not mean that all cases before that date have been reviewed.

EDIT:  All cases are different, and all reviewers are different.

Do you think it has anything to do with the location of the country that petition is being made. For example my petition would be for my husband in Cuba.

It could if verifying information from that particular country is a longer process.

Yes it may be so too, you just need to wait till march 20th on the USCIS processing time, then you can begin calling them or submit an inquiry. But I am sure they should be processing your petition by now (remember background check takes a while) just hang in there.

Generally no. But as noted, if certain documents take longer to verify there (i.e. the marriage certificate, court documents, etc.), then it could have some impact. But the I-130 is mainly about the petitioner's ability to petition for somebody. The beneficiary's eligibility for a visa and such will come into play at the embassy stage.

Just called USCIS , basically to be told the same as before. That I have to wait 7 to 9 months for an answer and that I’m still in the time frame. And that there system changed so now they no longer gives us the month in which there analyzing cases. So based on there online time frame , and that there supposedly analyzing cases from Janurary. I should recieve something in December I guess. Can’t do anything else than wait I guess.
