That could also help you are needed to care for wife her needs and unborn baby and your other child. I send to NVCExpedite@state.gov once you get your case#. Call them. Your wife as petitioner needs to do this but for now get your paperwork together.

If, as the OP said in the first post, the case is not yet at NVC, there is nothing the Embassy can do.  They cannot expedite a case that is still with USCIS.  The expedite request would have to go to USCIS.  If they approve it, it would then go to NVC, where you could request another expedite for that stage.  Even if his wife has all the documents, etc, ready for the NVC/Embassy phase, It is unlikely that all of the remaining parts of the process could be completed before the baby is born.  Hopefully, the doctors will be able to monitor her condition and treat as needed and all will be well

Only the petitioner can file for the expedite.  Even expedited petitions can take a couple months for paperwork.  I understand better now.  I did have it wrong.

My bad I miss read thought it WAS transferred to NVC. Your wife the petitioner will have to request a expedite at USCIS. Once approved you will have to do the same at NVC. You are still looking at months. This will not happen before the babies birth so buckle up for a few months more.

Hey Guys, am among the March filers and i got my NOA2 Approval 17th of September, 2018. Am so happy for this long awaiting letter. I pray the next letter comes before my wife gives birth, because she will be due in December or January.

I wish you guys waiting for the same letter all the best. Thanks VJ for everything.

I would have visited, what you do is your call.

My understanding is that NVC is much easier to expedite on CR/IR visas.  The beneficiary can request an expedite from NVC and this seem like a great reason...now that my thinking is straight!

The petitioner is the wife having surgery in the states.  The beneficiary was asking the questions.  There was some confusion.  He wants to expedite so he can be with his USC wife.  Their CR-1 was approved by USCIS in September.

So your petition was approved a month ago. Do you have your case# yet? You have all of us running in circles and you had approval yet you said you have yet to get approved at USCIS. Please give all relevant information to help us help you.

Keep calling NVC and get your case# once you get that you can expedite like I stated earlier with all the relevant evidence and doctors notes. Good luck.
