Please help! What could this letter be? after AOS interview

Hoping someone can shed some light! My husband's AOS interview was last week, and today we have an informed delivery notification about a letter from USCIS. We can see some of the writing through the window on the envelope, and we're curious about what it might be. From what I can tell, it says "We strongly recommend you keep a copy of all documents..." but that's all I can make out. I've attached an image. Is this an RFE? Approval of conditional green card? We are so stressed because our mail doesn't run until late in the evening 😞

you didn't get any status update after your husband's interview? can you make out if maybe the letter is in a colored paper? all my approval notices so far (I-129f, EAD, AP) have all been in thick, light green paper so i think the AOS approval would be in the same paper.

Our approvals have been on white paper, and this is also on white paper. No status update on the USCIS website 😞

Oh, now that you mention it. My mistake, my I-129F was on white paper, EAD and AP were on a green one. Anyway, don't stress to much about it. Nothing you can do but wait for now. You will get the mail today anyway if the scan showed up Informed Delivery.

Easier said than done, my friend. What did your mailed AOS approval notice say? Or do you have it yet? I see that your approval just happened-congrats!

I think it is probably an RFE, based on the wording I can see. If so, we will just submit everything they ask for. This is so discouraging though 😞 We have another baby on the way and we were hoping my husband could start working soon. Does anyone know how long an RFE may delay processing of AOS?

Quite a mystery!  That *looks* like a possible RFE considering the words about "translation from a foreign language to English"...but hope for the best!

I think it's most likely the local office informing your husband of his approval. I have seen this happen before; but whatever it is, as others have said please update.

My approval for Removal of Conditions was on white plain paper. Hopefully, yours is too. Best of luck and keep us posted!

It was indeed an RFE for form I-693, which according to the form instructions we did not need. He had his medical exam in Australia in March of this year! I'm not sure what to do in this case, but it sounds like we have to pay for another medical 😞 If anyone has any experience with this kind of RFE or any insight, please share. Thanks.

I was afraid it was an RFE because of the  wording "We strongly recommend you keep a copy of all documents that you submit to USCIS in response to this request." 

 

For medical stuffs you will need to contact an USCIS surgeon (check the uscis website). They are known to charge $$$ for even a signature.

Do you have any idea why they requested a new medical when yours is not even 6 months old yet? Did they say anything at your interview about your medical? Did you not have your vaccinations record? That is honestly the only reason I can think of for them to request a new medical that is so fresh like yours. If you could update on this for us that would be great information for people with the same issue. Thanks.

I’m curious to know if any mention was made of the medical at the interview. We were asked about a new medical. We told IO that we had the medical done in Switzerland April 2017 and the IZs were marked complete. He looked at that and made a check mark and seemed satisfied with that.
