I mean.. All those question you could just email to those websites and ask them? o.O Or in order to be 100% sure everything is right, go to the lawyer.

Each thing will vary depending on how much stuff/finances/ect you have. The simpler the cheaper. The more complex, the more expensive.

There's a difference between things like power of attorneys, wills and estate plans. Just go look at it and see. I just looked at a financial power of attorney on Legalzoom and said "starts at $35".

Going to any lawyer in person of course can be expensive so doing it on your own is always cheaper.

Unless its overly complicated or a large estate, you dont need to hire a lawyer.  you can download free or cheap templates online and customize them.

I did my own will and power of attorney. Where I live, they do not have to be filed with the court system (check your local laws for specific to your location requirements), so all I had to do was have it witnessed and notarized. I have 3 original copies (one for me, one for my fiance and one for my brother) and several copies filed away.

i 485, 130, EAD and AP

04/09/2019    NOA1 received/check cashed i 485 and 130 (direct adjustment)

11/7/2019      Interview- Norfolk

11/10/2019    APPROVED (notification rec'd 11/10, approval dated 11/8)

DONE FOR TWO YEARS!!! ;)

Filed everything ourselves with no RFE's or delays.

CR1 for Child under 21 (20 at time of filing)- Filed by LPR Spouse for his son

4/4/20     Mailed packet

4/12/20   NOA1 rec'd

10/14/21 (havent heard anything... when do i start to get worried?)

9/15/22 APPROVED! Now to wait for NVC and interview....

ROC

10/14/21 Mailed to AZ PO Box. Let the waiting begin. Again.

10/16/21 Received at PO Box

10/19/21 Received Text NOA1

10/23/21 Received Mailed NOA1

Using legalzoom for basic documents for immigration purposes is fine. I used it. It cost IIRC somewhere around $200 for everything we wanted. It helps you fill out the documents as you go along and gives you tailored instructions for use in each state. It explains what each of the options are for documents. You can speak to attorneys in some of the package deal for whatever needs you want. I ended up not being entirely happy with the structure of the Living Will they offered however, upon close inspection. Thankfully MD is one of those states where our government offers a free legal template and assists you in filling out your own, which ended up being much more comprehensive. In the future I will probably revise all documents using a real local attorney, but for now they'll do.

If you aren't confident in the services online, then I'd suggest a visit to an attorney and compare the cost.

there are different types of power of attorney like durable power of attorney, limited or special which one should i get?

google is your friend.

i personally used a durable power of attorney as it covered all the bases in case of an emergency where i was unable to make health care or financial decisions myself. But you will need to research and find the option that will best suit your needs.

yuna628,debbiedoo thank you guys so i should get durable power of attorney as it includes both health and financial decision part right?yuna628 what is meaning of  IIRC?so even if i am confused so you guys think its still better to work with legalzoom to get these documents and would be acceptable for immigration purposes?legalzoom agent are telling me to pay 149$ and it would include three documents with one year attorney consultation. should i get this full bundle by paying 149$ or its its deos not make huge difference to get attorney consultation for these documents for filing of ROC from legalzoom?

I did this today (literally... just a couple of hours ago). I made three separate documents (a living will, a medical power of attorney, and a financial power of attorney). I did all of the documents by typing in the name of the document and state (“medical power of attorney” + my state). It was all free.....and exactly the same documents I had paid a lawyer for in the past.

However, if there is a large estate involved I would definitely contact an accountant and attorney to view the options.
