Hey all,

I came to the US on a K-1 visa 10 months ago and I am having my AOS interview in two weeks. My evidence are real but maybe not enough. We still living with MIL and we don't have any evidence of rent or utility bills. We have joint bank account and credit cards. I have my driver license and some mail with the same address. I have tickets and trips together and of course lots of photos, dental records with both names but no health insurance because we can't afford it right now. These evidence are enough? any suggestion?

Really can depend on the person reviewing. Obviously health insurance and life insurance policies can be beneficial. Cell phone accounts?

We didn't have an interview; but literally all we sent in as 'evidence' with the initial I-485 was a copy showing both names on our apartment lease and a joint savings account...we didn't even send any extra photos or anything so.

We didn't have time at that point before initial AOS packet was sent to get the medical, life insurance, cell phone policy stuff in order. Now for instance also we would have been able to show joint insurance for our cars and all.

So again can really depend on the person doing your review.

Joint tax return filing?

An affidavit written by the MIL stating you are living under her roof as a married couple is another piece of evidence.

I know... I guess we just have one way to find out! I'll try to collect other evidence but right now we can't afford insurance, I'm not working and we are helping MIL with the rent even if its their house.

I know on another thread someone suggested a license with matching addresses, and if they did have a driving license then just applying for a state ID so they could have an official document they were both living at the same address :) Again it depends on the CO.

I have several proves that shows the same address. We have receipts, mail, amazon, holiday cards, ecc... The main problem is the insurance, I've heard is kind of a big deal for the CO but as I said before we can't do it right now so I'll bring everything I have already. Thank you all for your answers!
