We arrived to our local USCIC office at 2:50pm for his 3:00pm appointment.  We were done and back in the car by 3:05pm.

My Wife's Biometrics were done this AM ..Appt time was 0900.. We arrived at 0845 and they took her and we were back outside by 0901...

Now the long waiting game begins......

Anyone have their bio at Louisville KY? Is it easy to navigate? I need to go there next Thursday and my husband is in between night shifts. I'd drive alone but not sure how easy the parking is and all. Haven't been to a big city before.

hey I'm not from Louisville but just googled the address on google maps and it looks like there are quite a few parking lots around.. I would recommend you google parking prices for the location and make sure if they take cards or if you need cash.. my guess is they will take cards.. it's 2018  but you never know.. 

 

there is a social security office right next to it.. so it could be that there is free parking..

hey everyone just wanted to give an update on my EAD process.. I requested an expedite last week because of financial hardship.. hurricane florence hit north carolina 2 weeks ago.. and we had to evacuate spend quite some money on hotel rooms, gas and new food/supplies.. so I thought I give it a shot and try to expedite.. I received an email on monday and they asked for proof of job offer and that I should fax it to them.. did that the same day.. now I'm waiting for a approval or denial.. 🤷‍♀️

Hey guys just a quick question, did you have an Apostille on the birth certificate copy you submitted in the AoS package? I didn't, only enclosed a certified translation. The instructions never mention anything regarding Apostilles, but other applicants I talked to did request it.

I just submitted an international birth certificate.

A certified translation is required, did you submit that as well?

well mine is certified by the birth certificate office from my country. I had the option to get an international one with all kinds of different languages.. and so far I did not have an issue with that..

I understand. I have a multi-lingual birth certificate extract, but after some research I noticed that many applicants received a RFE for not providing a full translation of the document, so I had it translated anyways. 

 

Btw I just got a confirmation on Avvo that the Apostille is not needed, phew!

oh good no apostille needed.. 

honestly I wouldn't know what they want a translation of.. because on my birth certificate everything is in german and english as well.. (and many other languages)

I got my military dependent ID with my international birth certificate and they didn't have a problem with it.

That's good, you should be totally fine. I didn't have 100% certainty that my birth certificate qualified as an International document, it wasn't labeled like that anywhere. The main text was entirely in Italian and on the bottom there were translations in all EU languages, but the font was extra tiny, so I thought that translating it wouldn't hurt.

i receive the same and i'm asking myself why are they doing that  and so far this look like a generic message i meet that requirement even over the 125 percent but even thaught they have all the documents they still sent an RFE WITH THOSE REQUEST
