I-132 Advance Parole question

My wife does not intend to travel back to her homeland, but it seems wise to do this form just in case something serious, like a death in the family occurs.

It asks for a departure date and length of trip?

Suggestions?

I left mine blank too. I remember briefly explaining I'm applying for advance parole (just in case of emergency) but I don't think that's even necessary.

Ha! Joselio just asked the same question that I was about to pose.  For family emergency only do I complete Part 7?

Hi, I'm completing the I-131 form, Part 7 says to submit a letter explining how you qulify for the AP. Do you have to write it?

A letter is not required. In my case I overdid it but in the end it wasn't required. In Part 3 I put a date in March 2018 as Date of Intended Departure for a trip of 20 days (but my EAD/AP card wasn't approved till June 2018). Instead of writing a letter I filled Part 4 with "visit family" and my home country. As other users have mentioned there is no need to include dates or fill Part 4.

Thank you TM92 but how about part 7?

The only thing I filled in Part 7 was the "More than one trip" box; everything else I left blank.

Also my memory is horrible, lol: In Part 3 I put 12/22/2017 as Date of Intended Departure for a trip of 17 days.

You don't need to fill out the separate sheet of paper if you're applying for advance parole pursuant to a pending I-485, they know that's why you qualify for it
