hi, 

no, i didnt mean get social security number, i meant when the case is sent from NVC, you can track the status  until it says ready at your embassy.

I went to the bank today and have to go back later in the week to speak with a manager so that I can get their letter since no managers were on duty.  But from what I understand:

• The future joint account: I can count this even though it's a relatively new account because we can definitely convert that to cash within one year.  We've already spent some of the money we've put in this account because of deposits for wedding vendors.
• Her savings account: I'm still not sure if she can take out these assets immediately.  Still, people can't usually withdraw from 401(k)s before a typical retirement age without a penalty, but they still list them on affidavits of support.  Either way, this doesn't need to be answered immediately since that's for the I-864.  I'd like the answer sooner though so that I know what to write since I have a lot of open questions (~40) on the forms we have to file after the wedding.

You never know with USCIS, but according to the processing times you should have your NOA2 by the end of next month.

I waited just under 7 months (filed January 9 and NOA2 August 3, 2018).

I am happy to be part of this group here.  Received notice Saturday morning our case was approved on Friday, August 10.  Gathering financial documents now and will complete the affidavit of support.

That's kinda of a hard question to answer as it depends on so many different things and when you can schedule everything.  I was told before it could possibly be 4-6 weeks after NOA2 if you play your cards right.
