There is only one and can be found by going to the blue ribbon at the top of the page and choosing "forums" then scroll down through the list and you will find it.

Thank you!

But this one is quite old as well :(

Does this mean that AOS process is easier and people just don't need to communicate while applying and waiting?

The entire thread was started with the date your are referencing as "old" but the individual entries are as new as of 3 minutes ago. The first posting is only there for general information and yes it's old but you will be asking your questions there and not here about AOS for the interview.

As I stated in an earlier post he cannot send ALL the documents to you via email. The I-134 requires a wet signature (original signature) and not a scanned copy. Now to cut down on the expense, it's best if he only FedEx the I-134 and scan and email the other documents whereupon receipt from you, you print them locally to bring to the interview.

I think this is embassy relative. I emailed my home consulate and they assured me that a scanned copy is also accepted.

Two weekends ago, I moved to another state to start a new job.  Since I started it this week, I can now give my fiancee a new I-134 which should steer around at least some of the difficulties I’ve experienced with the I-134 and self-employment.  (Her interview date is on the 30th, which is still within 30 days of my move.)

The salary for this job is well above the poverty cutoff, I already have a pay stub from the company (albeit only for one day's work!), and I already have not only a signed offer letter but also an employment/salary/bonus verification letter from the company on official letterhead.  So I definitely want the person adjudicating our case at the consulate to know about this. :)

However, I haven’t formally filed a change of address with anyone yet or changed my residency to my new state.  I am planning to wait until after the election to do so, and get an absentee ballot for my old home state, rather than try to vote for candidates that I don't have time right now to learn about.

Meanwhile, my parents are still able to receive my mail at my old address (theirs).  I'm currently living in my family's "second home" condo which is an average commute of an hour-plus each way.  My parents visit every month.  My fiancee and I plan to live there after the wedding, but only until we buy a house (probably when we're closer to getting her work authorization).

How should I handle this on the new I-134 I’m writing - where it says “Are your mailing address and physical address the same?”  Do I need to list both addresses?  If so, do I need to file a change of address with USCIS, and would that delay us in getting the visa (and put our wedding - scheduled for Dec 1 - in jeopardy)?

And as I mentioned in more detail here, can I include my expected bonus as part of my income too, or only my base pay?

Keep your address the way it is. Let's not muddy the water as there is enough stuff that can influence a hiccup which you don't need.

And as I mentioned in more detail here, can I include my expected bonus as part of my income too, or only my base pay? If your salary meets or exceeds that's all you need to provide. But, since it is in the offer letter then you will be presented it anyways. It won't hurt.  Good luck.

Hi All,

As I am gathering together my financial evidence, I ran into a problem. I went to my bank (Wells Fargo) to obtain an official bank letter. The requirements of that letter is "how much $ has been deposited this year", which they told me they had no way to keep track of that????! So, it is not stated on the letter. It only shows my current balance, and when my account was opened. Would that be an issue?

Hey everyone! Our visa was approved today! Thanks everyone, especially greenbaum, for all your help!

We just have one more question. The embassy took my fiance's Chinese police cert. This thing is impossible to get outside of China, and we would like to keep it for our records. Is it normal for them to keep the police certs, and if so, would it be wise to email them asking for it back?

That now belongs to the US Government to be a permanent record. You'll need to apply for another one. I doubt you will ever use it (maybe, just maybe for a job but I can't think of anything else unless they plan to work for the US Government).
