Comments : Landed at JFK after a lonnnngggggg but relaxing flight (no passenger beside me so I was able to stretch/lay down first class style😁😁) from Dubai. The officer in Dubai only asked me how long my fiancé has been in the US and that was all.

The queue at JFK was really long as well. The cbp officer tore the envelope we were not allowed to open and checked my file. He asked me for a cover page, I told him I don't know about anything in the folder. After going through the document, he asked what my job was, took my fingerprints and picture then called his colleagues to take me inside a room of other people waiting as well.

Waited for another 20-30mins before my name was called to come pick up my passport. The new cbp officer only asked me to pronounce my name and gave me my passport to exit. My luggage was one of the last to be picked up as a result of the long wait.

Paid $6 for the trolley and just walked through. No more quiz from the custom officers at the exit doors and I walked into the waiting arms of my love 😍

Advice.

Hold some dollars. You may need them

If you like cold like me, hold a jacket (depending on your destination). If you don't like the cold, hold a jacket and a blanket 🤣😂

Don't forget your answers during the interview/in your forms. Very important.

And lastly Welcome to USA

Event Description
Review Date : November 8, 2018
Embassy Review : Glory be to God in the Highest!!!!

I was approved today at the US consulate. First time I've heard congratulations after many trials. It was the easiest interview ever and God made it so. Prayers, hard work, preparing with interview questions and frontloading cleared the way for me.

After waiting for almost 4hrs, my number was called up by the white lady at window 17. As I approached her, I was already beaming with smiles and she smiled back. Swore the oath and began my interview.

Who is calling you?
How did you meet?
What course was she studying?
Did you guys date in Uni?
How did and do you communicate?
I see you have been to Dubai and UK together?
What is her profession?
Where does she live?

Congratulations, I will be approving your visa. Then she brought out the white paper and told me to follow the instructions to pick up my passport. Any questions? I said No, thanked her and walked away smiling and thanking God in my heart.

It was like a conversation or call/response. Within 3mins we were done. She didn't ask to check pictures, chats/calls, employment letter in fact I didn't show anything for the interview only pre interview. I wasn't even asked about my previous denials (four in number since 2015). It was stress-free and it was God at work.

Thank you guys for your prayers and support, I am not ungrateful.

Advice: Pray for confidence and calmness. Know your fiancé/husband very well. A lot of people fumbled today and we're asked to come back, some others fumbled and were still given visas, just be over prepared. Don't listen to touts outside

As long as you don't have any immigration issues and you are telling the truth, they won't waste your time. Somebody was banned from entering the US today, so be careful.

Smile, relax and go through the questions on Visa journey if you can and ask questions as well. All the best to those awaiting their approval (speak in faith) . I'm more than elated 😁😁😁

Didn’t get my visa until 22nd of November, 2018. I was extremely worried during the wait but God came through for me

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
