Ask this question here for a complete and up to date answer. There are experts over in the sub-forum for your country located here http://www.visajourney.com/forums/forum/99-united-kingdom/  This is where others from your country who are processing or those who have completed their interview and they can guide you on their experience. A TON of information and help there.

Thank you :D that's great help

Thank you for the link. It is up to date as of May 2018 so I would use it.

The DS-160 for 99% of the Embassy's allow you to complete it at anytime. You do not have to wait for any signal. To answer "what else" check over all your documents to ensure they are accurate without wrong dates and names. Birth Certificates and Passports are always in question as everything is based off of the accuracy of those two pieces. If there is an error get it fixed now. Has your beneficiary lived in another country since age 16 for more then 6 months? If so they need a Police Certificate. Start gathering your financial information, see list below of what is needed. Determine what is needed for your medical and where you will have it completed. Look over the list of required documents contained within the link you posted. That's about it for now.

EVIDENCE OF SUPPORT. You should be able to demonstrate that you will not become a public charge or be a burden on the U.S. taxpayers for financial support. A completed I-134 Affidavit of Support Form K1/K2 Interview Preparation Instructions – English (February 2014)  Page 3 of 9 with original signature will be useful to the consular officer to evaluate your petitioner’s ability to be financially responsible for you. You should also submit your petitioner’s most recent U.S. Federal income tax return (Form 1040) and wage statements (Form W-2). Employment letters stating salaries and bank statements may be included to substantiate the I-134.

This is perfect thank you so much! Luckily we have passport, birth certificates from the I-129F process, and he has not lived in another country since 16. I wanted to make sure I was on the right track! I will continue hunting and gathering lol.

Have a great day!

I'm a bit confused. You say you booked your interview in Sydney but your profile shows that your applying in Singapore. Can't be in two places for an interview.

I was never really sure what to put there, but my signature should clear that up.  My fiancee is a citizen of Singapore (born there, grew up there, lived there until a few years ago) but is now a permanent resident of Australia (moved there when she left Singapore and now works there).  Her packet 4 lists her visa type as "K1 - SING" ("Singapore" or "Single"?).  I know she has to provide certain documentation like Singapore's police certificate and her birth certificate from Singapore.

June 2016: We started writing to each other

June-July 2017: Met in person in the US for our first anniversary

December 2017 - January 2018: Met again in the US and got engaged

01/09/2018: I-129F sent to the USCIS Dallas Lockbox via FedEx

01/16/2018: Received NOA1 (NOA1 notice date: 01/11/2018)

June-July 2018: Met in person in Singapore and Australia for our second anniversary

08/03/2018: Notice date on our NOA2 (updated in USCIS's new website on August 6)

08/15/2018: Our case reached NVC

08/22/2018: Received NVC case number

09/04/2018: Our package left NVC (arrived 9/11, and she sent packet 3 that day)

09/20/2018: Received packet 4; scheduled interview

10/30/2018: Interview - told that we're approved!  Now waiting to receive the visa...
11/27/2018: Port of Entry at BWI

12/1/2018: Our wedding!

12/8/2018: Filed AoS on the way to our honeymoon (12/8-15/2018)
6/~7/2019: EAD and AP approved
09/25/2019: AOS interview in Orlando -- approval and green card!

Next step, June 2019: Filing I-751

Note: My wife is a Singaporean.  She moved to Australia before we met and got permanent residency there.

Hi everyone!

I was wondering if somebody knows more about this..

The US Embassy in Amsterdam (Netherlands) has an online system where you can register, pay the fee and schedule your interview.

I am waiting for my Packet 3 to arrive so I can send back my documents and schedule my interview.

I red stories on this forum about scheduling your appointment before sending back the P3.

Stories about the Embassy cancelling your interview and that you have to pay the visa fee again.

Now in The Netherlands the step of paying the fee is actually the last one before it sends you to the agenda of the Embassy.

Long story short: I was wondering if the embassy will cancel my payment of they haven’t received my P3 yet?

I just want to take a look in their agenda to see how booked they are and what my chances will be for October to do my interview..

Well some of us veterans turn off the signature as it gets to be too busy. Our best tool is your profile located in the column. I for one will not search to see where someone is processing from so if your Embassy is wrong and I give information for that Embassy it does neither of us any good. Here is how you change it.

Go to the top right of this page select your name (it's on the upper right hand corner)>my profile>[below your picture on the right column] edit my profile. Scroll to the bottom and fill in "Immigration Info". There now we can better serve you.

Where does the beneficiary live that is the location that should be in your profile on the left.

Same NOA2 as you and still no feedback from NVC. We did get an email notification from USCIS 14/09 advising that recent processing action had taken place on our case - perhaps that’s when it was sent to NVC? Not sure how long it’s going to take from here.

@AllanGavin Did you hear anything from USCIS or NVC? I just called NVC and they still haven't received my approved petition yet from USCIS. This just sucks!!

@Amnazaid and @Faycol did you guys hear anything back of your cases?

Why are they doing this to us Aug 22 approvals??!!!

@K1VisaFiler I received a notification email 18/09 advising our case number and that the petition was being forwarded to my Consulate in South Africa. I’ve seen a few posts advising the next batch to leave NVC is around 2-3 October. Good luck!

The first thing after about three days from arrival, you should go to social security office and get the beneficiary a SSN which allows them to be put on your health insurance and bank account. After that it's complete marriage and then start the AOS. There is a guide here on VJ. To get there use the "guides" tab on the blue ribbon at the top of the page here on VJ.

thank you greenbaum,

Why are they doing this to us Aug 22 approvals??!!! Because it's the process. This is how it works. Every case is different and no two are the same so processing times are different.
