I have plan to send application for naturalization this days. Can you guys tell me how long it takes to be requested for interview because I’m going on vacation in May or July and I want to be sure that i’m gonna be here for interview.

It was so much easier than expected, the questions asked were so easy:

Can't remember the sentence i read, but the one he made me write was 'We pay taxes', just like that.

The officer was so nice with me since he called, we even talked about his family and childrens!

Now just need to wait for the Oath Ceremony, can't wait!

I had the interview last Friday, 11th and had the 'Scheduled interview' notice on Saturday but had to wait until Monday to know the exact date and time. Received the letter on the email on Thursday. You can check at the USCIS account the document once it has been posted.

Yesterday i was discussing with my wife about the ceremony, and we were questining the duration. I have read that it can last around 3 hours and our idea is to bring our 2 year old daughter and our 3 month son even though we know that she will be separated from where i will be. Any of you had a similar situation that can give us recommendation? I don't want her to deal with all the weight and responsability of being alone with the 2 kids for so long, what about if the baby starts crying and our daughter wants to come with me? Children are unpredictable!

 

Cant' wait for this Friday, finally all this jorney is coming to an end!

What is your local field office? You profile says that you live in Alabama but local office shown as Chicago, IL. Thats impossible.

Anyways, if your local office is Chicago, IL the average time from NOA to Interview is/was 210-220 days. So, I guess you can expect your interview to be sometime in March.

If you local filed office is Montgomery, AL the wait time is approximately 280-300 days. In this case you should expect your interview to be scheduled for May-June 2019. 

 

Hope this helps. 

And by the way, calculating your average wait time is not a rocket science. As a matter of fact, this whole section of VJ is dedicated to answer your question. All you need to do is to find 2-3 the most recent N-400 applicants from your local field office and do a simple 3rd grade math.

My field office is in Dallas and my estimated completion time says 20 more months to go. So yes a lot of us still waiting depending on your field office.
