IR1/ CR1 VISA .. NEED HELP (merged)

hello everyone,

is there any latest threads on IR1/CR1 visa , i am about to apply for it this august !! any guidance or any helpful experience from karachi or islamabad or all over pakistan

my fiance  is with me we will be getting married this august , she is US citizen.. she is in pakistan from almost 2 years now , she will be the petitioner 

any guidance for how should be the marriage for pictures and stuff ?

how long will it take ? 

will i get approved ?

she is just 1 year younger then me ! 

i have had dubai visit visa on my passport once as well  !

It takes 12 to 14 months to get approved.

Is not too bad not too bad just the approval part takes long time but is vary from case to case bit of lucky some people get approved faster than others age doesn't matter file cr1 for my husband in kenya back November 7 2017 got approved in may 31 2018

Uscis sent file to nvc may 5 2018 received date may 14 waiting to hear from them I DON'T know how long this part takes ask others for sure I know uscis processes long time

Just be aware that many Pakistani males are put into administrative processing for an undefined amount of time after interview. You can view threads on this in the AP and waivers sub-forum.

hello everyone,

I am a Pakistani male, On AUGUST 2018 I got married to my cousin who is a US BORN, her parents are here in Pakistan and she came back to Pakistan 2 years ago to live with her parents, she cant go back since she dosent have any permanent address and her parents are also in Pakistan, Our Uncle who lives in US, is going to do affidavit support for us in our visa process. We are planning to apply from Pakistan, Is there anything i need to know, or any recommendations ? how long would it take as of 2019. We would really appreciate your help..

If you file from Pakistan you will be filing to the chicago lockbox.  Follow the Guide at the top of the web page.  After about a year you will need the joint sponsor info. Then you will interview.

she dosent have US domicile, when you file petition for your spouse, is it mandatory that you have to sponsor your spouse or can anybody else like your relative can alone sponsor your spouse  ?

She will need to either re-establish domicile or simultaneously move with you to the US.  Domicile and sponsorship are two different things.   Please see the guides and instructions.

 

She will be required to file a I-864.

 when you file petition for your spouse, is it mandatory that you have to sponsor your spouse or can anybody else like your relative can alone sponsor your spouse ? and you need to have a US domicile for an affidavit support when you are living abroad, but if your relative is filling form 1-864 for your spouse then do you still need a US domicile when you are living abroad ? is it possible that you just fill the petition and once its approved, then your relative sponsors your spouse and show their permanent mailing address, taxes, affidavit support ?  i just need to make sure that my wife can fill the petition from Pakistan or does she have to go back to US at any cost , since she dosent have a US domicile.. just making sure things before taking any wrong steps, her parents are here in Pakistan.

She will have to move back to the US at the same time as you use your visa, or before. At the point when you file the affidavit of support she will have to prove either US domicile or intent to establish US domicile. (Unless she's, like, a missionary or employed by the US government.)
