Hi Guys,

When submitting DS-260, do you have to scan in the police certificate?

I'm hearing conflicting things saying it's only needed for the interview but every website says you need it for the NVC upload on CEAC.

Thanks

Yes, you need Police Certificate (and translations, if needed) for NVC stage.

Even if you are not PIVOT, and need to arrange a package and send via regular mail, you need to have there beneficiary Police Certificate.

If you are PIVOT, you need to upload scans on CEAC. After DS-260 is filled out and submitted.

For the interview you need to bring originals, of course.

Hope this helps.

You never know until a case/Invoice number have been created.

In our case,I kept calling twice daily until we got the case/Invoice numbers over the phone.

Finally got my case number and invoices!!

I just made the payment for AOS and IV fee, i guess it's going to take about 8 more weeks before interview?

Congratulations! I have a question about the "scan date". I just called NVC and spoke to a rep (option 3) for checking if my docs were received. He verified they received them on 7/16. I asked for the scan date. He said they scan documents in as soon as rhey receive them whether or not the DS260 is complète. He said they will not begin to review the documents and the case until DS260 is complete, but that the documents are scanned in when received. Is this true in your experience with the scan date or what is correct here? They may tell me a different story when I call again tomorrow...

Case complete yesterday! Thought I’d post my timeline:

28/08/17 I130 sent

09/03/18 Case approved

05/04/18 NVC received

27/06/18 Case Number

3/07/18 Submitted documents

11/07/18 resubmitted documents

19/07/18 Case Complete

quick question... got email saying complete and boooking interview. We just logged in to nvc and no the household sponsor has their own tab that now says start now. Both of ours say complete. The documents asked for under household sponsor are i864A and proof of domicile etc. These have all been accepted under the petitioner?

We don’t need to upload them again do we? We got email saying all done interview being booked.
