Awww thank you fornthe info! It helped me a lot! Wow so did you call here ‭(800) 375-5283‬ for the inquiry? I’m gonna tell my fiance about it!

You can see a story here from recent August filer who also got an RFE. After a few tries, they found an agent who was willing to read it to them on the phone.

I'm happy we got our approval today in the mail but we were approved the 4th. BTW they received our RFE the 17 of last month so it took less than a month to approved. Good luck to everyone.

Congrats!

Can you please complete your profile. Many of our answers are predicated on the information you supply in your profile. When we look at the left column and can't determine your timeline or your Embassy it's hard for us to give you a factual answer. If you look at the profile of others here, they have a flag for their country, so it makes it easy for us to reply as we can quickly determine your Embassy. Our answers will sometimes be tailored to a specific Embassy hence the reason for you to complete your profile.

So, if you could help yourself out and complete your profile that sure would help us out when we want to reply to your question with factual information.

Go to the top right of this page select your name (it's on the upper right-hand corner)>my profile>[below your picture on the right column] edit my profile. Scroll to the bottom and fill in "Immigration Info". There now we can better serve you.

Thanks

RFE is not always  a bad thing,  at least your case is being looked at. Youll be fine don't worry.

There is no need to cry. Most RFE's are simple items like boxed that wasn't checked or a missing document all very minor things. An RFE gives you a chance to correct something in your submitted application that when corrected it will lead to the continuation of the adjudication of your case.

Once you get your RFE, read over very carefully as you only have one chance to reply accurately without causing undue harm. Once you know what it is set out to correct and to include "everything" they are asking for. Then reread the RFE to ensure you are compliant. Make copies of everything for your record and send back using their instructions which are contained within the RFE. If the RFE requires a signature, PLEASE don't forget this. Once received at USCIS your case will begin adjudication where the agent had left off. No one can tell you how long it will take so be patient.

Thanks guys. I'm fully aware i was being a complete drama queen when we got the online notification-this process is so completely draining. Hopefully we dont have to wait too long to get the RFE in the post and can get moving to NOA2 🤞

There used to be an option to be connected to customer service if you choose “if there’s a problem with your case” Now the automated voice says to go to USCIS website and fill out an inquiry form if your case is out of max processing times. So I couldn’t talk to a live person but when I entered my case number the automated response was that my case was approved. Hope this helps!

This is the number you call to inquire about your application and it is not specific to any location. 1 800 375 5368.
